Miss Pinks Craft Spot

Ever start off with a plan in your head and your card turns out totally different? Well, that's what happened today, this was going to be a somewhat simple card with my trying a new technique using Glycerin for blending sponged backgrounds that I saw  Gail O'Neill demonstrate - and it is amazing, the Glycerin just makes the sponge glide on the cardstock, and keeps the ink damp a little longer making it perfect for blending your second colour, I used Soft Sky then Marina Mist  - this technique is amazing! I was inspired to try the new technique when I saw this weeks challenge at Stamp Ink Paper , and it does say you can use any colour medium - I may have used more than one... and ended up with a Shaker Card! I started the project by stamping the underwater plants and then used an Aqua Painter to fill in the colour with Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler and Calypso Coral, next I stamped a fish in Daffodil Delight and added So Saffron shading with the Aqua P...

Welcome to this weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? This week the set we have gone under the sea with Seaside Shore This set is perfect for someone that loves the ocean and tropical fish, I think of Finding Nemo when I look at this set, such a fun movie I created the edge of my card by stamping the bubbles in a continuous pattern, Soft Sky on Soft Sky, the panel with my fish is raised up on dimensionals. I also sponged around my little fishy with Soft Sky, I stamped the image on a post it and cut it out and laid over the top before sponging so I could keep the image clean for colouring I added some Wink of Stella for some shimmer and Bakers Twine - I love Bakers Twine it is so forgiving when creating bows I repeated the side bubbles on the inside of the card and added a sentiment Check out all the great projects from the Design Team click here , we would love you to participate in our weekly challenges at What Will You Stamp? w...

Today I decided it was time to pick up a stamp set that I hadn't used before - you know one of those sets you see in the catalogue that you just have to get, and you just haven't got to use it yet!  I recently re-organised my crafting area (amazing what you find when you do this); my electric  cutter is now in a much more usable space, so I dusted it off and and had a play with that too - don't fret, you can achieve a very similar result by fussy cutting, I just didn't feel like fussy cutting today. Aren't these little fish just adorable, I can't decide between the black and white or the Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight as my favourite, the both look so lovely.
