Hello crafty friends, this morning I put time aside to get inky and participate in this weeks Global Design Project after being inspired by Madeleine Mrotzek's card I adored the way the Madeleine had used the Thanks & Hello Mini Embossing Folder , so using that element here's what I created: After embossing the circles I stamped and coloured the image from Hand-drawn Blooms, then using Blending Brushes added a light touch of Balmy Blue and Soft Seafoam. To make the circles pop a little more I layer some Basic Grey underneath giving the impression of a shadow. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Ah... the wonder of Heat Embossing, I don't think I will ever grow tired of seeing dull powder turning into a beautiful shiny embossed finish, there is something mesmerising about it. For my card I've embossed both fine/detailed stamping as well as bolder lines in the sentiment to show the beauty of embossing for you, I've also decided last miniute to record me making the card so you can see "the wonder" as I call it. Isn't the shine of the embossing just beautiful, like I said in the recording I love all embossing techniques, but heat embossing would have to be my favourite. A late afternoon thunderstorm, meant my Sunday post is delayed to Monday, as in no time at all the light had disappeared for me to take a photo, where did all the hours go this weekend! This is the first time I've got the Hand-drawn Blooms set inky, I must admit, I've had it for a few weeks and just drawn blanks with it, almost overwhelmed with it to be honest - I don't know why, it's flowers - I love flower designs, it has delicate details which I like too and lots of sentiments, maybe it was that, I didn't know what sentiment to apply to the design. I'm playing along with this weeks Just Add Ink challenge, what is my "A" you might be thinking when looking at my card, it's appreciation, and when you appreciate a kind thought or gesture you say thank you.
