Welcome to this weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? We are creating with nostalgic Cupcakes & Carousels stamps set. You know the thoughts you get when you first see a stamp set for the first time...... well I had such a thought when I saw Cupcakes & Carousels, then I saw this amazing creation from Claire Napper and it was confirmed! Some time has gone between Brisbane OnStage and now, I had all but forgotten that I was going to make a version a carousel, then when we were out the other weekend at the beach, this jolted my memory - the first item that my daughter wanted to play on at the Beachouse.... the Carousel! I regathered my thoughts and in conjunction with the Window box framelits created a Carousel Gift Box: I adore how my gift box turned out, the Cupcakes & Carousels DSP is just amazing, it has a lovely rustic/vintage feel about it, and coordinates beautifully with this stamp set - one of the things I love about Stampin Up...

I wish I had learnt how to chop into my Designer Series Paper sooner! It is such a great way to pull a card together when you have limited time, and instead of hoarding all those lovely DSP patterns you share with your creations. Here is a card I came up with this morning: The layout of this card is inspired by this weeks CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge : I love the rustic feel of the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP, these banners combined with the die cut sentiment from Hello You look superb, and with a little masking of a stamp from Balloon Adventures I had my card done in no time. Ah the weekend, time to catch breath from a busy week AND catch on some much missed crafting! To kick start my creating I checked out this weeks challenge at the Global Design Project.... yay CASE Louise Sharp! I adore Louise's creations, so what a honour to CASE her work - we are also fellow lovers of PINK. Here is what I was inspired to create from Louise's gorgeous card One of the things I noticed was the tiny layer around the edge of the DSP, I wanted to give that a go - I've cut my DSP 1 mm smaller than the Calypso Coral layer. Love the effect, it is subtle yet makes the DSP really pop. I broke out the Carousel Birthday stamp set, and stamped onto Very Vanilla using Early Espresso for a vintage feel to match the Cupcakes and Carousels DSP . I coloured using Aqua Painters . I do like layers, so I decided to cut the pony and mount on a Banner. The Triple Banner punch is great for creating banners, I spritzed the Banner using the Aqua Pai...
