International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop | Highlighting Retired Products

There are mixed emotions for this blog hop for me, both sadness and excitement as we say goodbye to some old favourites to make way for new inspiration for the launching items in the 2016 -2017 catalogue. I've chosen to make my farewell highlight with the 2 sets that were in my first ever Stampin Up order. I fell in love with the flourish in Everything Eleanor  and chose Petite Pairs  as my first sentiment set. Here are my farewell creations:   One of the things I loved about Petite Pairs is that there were 2 parts to each of the sentiments, here is the 2nd on the inside of the card: I'm also saying farewell to 2 of the 2014-2016 In colors - Tangelo Twist in my first card, and Lost Lagoon here in my second card: Here is the 2nd part of the sentiment pair: I would love it if you could pin my cards!  Be sure to hop all the way through the below list to see all the incredible ideas and creations, and if you have a chance please l...

Happy and Bright | What I Love

I felt like making something happy and bright today, these flowers are from the Sale-A-Bration set "What I Love" - it's only available til March 31st!   The main flower in  a "3 step" stamp, today I have only used 2 of the stamps - I think gives a lovely casual water colour effect, and it is so simple, just 2 stamps!  If you're not familiar with this type of stamp view the video below.  I'm really happy with the delicate little flowers too - they add to the bright and happy feel of the card.  The sentiment comes from Petite Pairs available in the Annual Catalogue. I've used Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight and Cucumber Crush for my stampin, here's the inside of the card Whilst it isn't spring in Australia the Paper Players challenge was also inspiration for this card Thanks for visiting today, I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  C...

Butterfly Basics | MM422

Welcome crafters, today I have given my Butterfly Basics stamp set another work out!   The inspiration for the layout is from this weeks challenge at Mojo Monday Colour Combo Todays card features the Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride and Wild Wasabi on Very Vanilla . Techniques I have double stamped the centre piece using the Stamp-a-ma-jig with Blushing Bride then Rich Razzleberry stamped of once so that it would blend rather than overpower.  I stamped of the ferns too. I finally decided on sponging for the square layer, using Blushing Bride then edging with Rich Razzleberry. I also layered the "stripe" for a little more depth.  the Birthday sentiment is from Petite Pairs. Below is the inside of the finished card, repeating the stamping off technique. Whilst I have only used the stamps today, don't forget, Butterfly Basics is available as a bundle (stamps and framelits), and better still you save 15% when purchased as a Bun...

Peaceful Pines - Colours of the Rainbow

I visited Merry Monday this morning and saw the current challenge and just had to give it a go! Below is the inspiration for this challenge - I thought I would give sponging a try for this challenge, after all rainbow is the theme and rainbows have that lovely blending of colour when they appear in the sky. I decided to use a tree from the Peaceful Pines stamp set; using the edge of the stamp pad I carefully put a small segment of each of the colours listed below and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock.  I re-stamped using Versamark, applied Heat  power to attach the Dazzling diamonds.  I used the Softly Falling TIEF, then sponged each of the colours, applying slighly heavier on the edge of the cardstock, I used the same process again to apply a light coverage of Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. My Husband was like "WOW, I really like that" when I showed him!   I am really glad I decided to give this chal...

Petite Pairs - Mojo Monday 410

The weather was great this weekend in comparison to past weeks, so we did some lovely day trips to get out and about - so it meant that I had a little less time for my weekend crafting, but still have made my Mojo deadline even though Windows 10 & Photoshop did not want me to!   Below is the inspiration sketch from Julee. I've seen lots of nature this weekend, so looking at my new Pretty Petals DSP I decided butterflies were in order for my card: I used Very Vanilla for the base, and coordinated with Old Olive and Pacific Point, with the butterfly in Calypso Coral.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. Thanks for joining me for this weeks Mojo challenge. Sue Supplies used:

Petite Pairs - Mojo Monday 408

Mojo Monday Challenge this week is Tall & Skinny. This is the first time that I have worked from a Sketch with these dimensions, it does change how you think about your layout by not have the width that you are accustomed to. Here is what this sketch and mojo makers blogs inspired me to create: I have used Petite Pairs stamp set for the sentiment. Thanks for joining me with this weeks Mojo Monday, hope you visit again soon. Sue

Paper Players #255 - Petite Pairs

Pushed myself to complete a challenge after work this week! This week the Paper Players has a Sketch Challenge: After alot of ideas that just didn't go the distance, here is my design: I have used Sweet Sorbet DSP and the sentiment is from Petite Pairs - love this set, so versatile.  Thanks for visiting, come again soon. Sue

Owl Punch - Mojo Monday 407

I had lots of ideas for this weeks sketch, but they just wouldn't come together, so now its Sunday, a distinct lack of 'mojo' and I need to complete a card - no pressure, no stress! After looking at the sketch again this afternoon, having my desk filled with possibilities; it finally came to me, here is my card: The weather here has been awful today, so the natural light was a bit evasive for my photo; but I love the end result of my card. Pool Party and Blushing Bride combined beautifully with Sweet Sorbet DSP, Owl Punch as always is so easy to use, Petite Pairs for the sentiment and inspiration from Celebrate Today - I cut down the size of the 2nd balloon, bit fiddly but worked a treat! Hope you like my take on Mojo Monday 407, thanks for visiting.

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop July 2015: Favourite Colour Combination

Hi, welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for July You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - MissPinksCraftSpot (Sue Vine) or you may have come from the person previous to me in the list below.  If you get off track at any time, the full lineup below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects. Anyone that knows me won't be at all surprised to see that Pink is featuring as part of my colour combo!  I have used Pink Pirouette with Calypso Coral & Pear Pizzazz.  I love the elegance of the "Everything Eleanor" stamp set; I decided to give the "masking technique " a try rather than layering the flowers over the flourish - sticky notes worked great for this!  Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, remember that currently you are at MissPinksCraftSpot - Sue Vine, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list as you don't want to miss out on seeing any of the...
