Miss Pinks Craft Spot

There are mixed emotions for this blog hop for me, both sadness and excitement as we say goodbye to some old favourites to make way for new inspiration for the launching items in the 2016 -2017 catalogue. I've chosen to make my farewell highlight with the 2 sets that were in my first ever Stampin Up order. I fell in love with the flourish in Everything Eleanor  and chose Petite Pairs  as my first sentiment set. Yay, I'm on holidays!  Today is a day just to relax, nothing planned, so I thought I would do some crafting, here is my card today: I have used both Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette on Whisper White in this card.  I stamped the smaller flowers with Blushing Bride and the larger is stamped using Whisper White on Blushing Bride.  The flourish and layer is Pink Pirouette. I love the cascading effect of the flourish, I achieved this by lightly outlining a partial circle then lining up the curve of the flourish and stamping the top of the card, then popped a sticky note over the image and re-stamped lining up to the circle again so not to over stamp the first image. The flower are adhered with Fast Fuse or Dimensionals where they needed to be lifted for a layered effect.  I added a little bling as a finishing touch. Hi Crafters,  It's Mojo Monday time again!  This week we have one on Julee's sketches to drive us for inspiration. In my interpretation I have changed it up a bit as I don't have a star punch or cutter. I have used 3 of the stamps from Everything Eleanor in this design.  I printed the sentiment on my computer.   I t ried something that I had not done before,  I stamped Wisteria Wonder onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock.  I think it looks lovely; not as harsh as if done in Basic Black, but a beautiful subtle tone on tone effect. I accented the flower with a little glitter, who can say no! Can you see the design is mounted on a lovely silver backing?   I have done this by cutting a normal piece of card stock and heat embossing just the edges - when you mount the rest of the card no body could ever tell! Its been a busy weekend in my crafttoom, when I saw the Mojo Monday sketch this week I immediately had an idea of what I wanted to try using the Everything Eleanor flowers, as I currently don't have anything with a star; here is my card: I wanted to give "fussy cutting" a try, I stamped the medium flower from Everything Eleanor several times, then trimmed down the image on 3 of them, removing slightly more each time until the smallest was the first layer of the flower.  I highlighted the edges with colour then popped them on top of each other using Dimensionals, finally mounting onto the large flower.
