Petal Palette #WWYS164

Welcome back to What Will You Stamp? This week we are highlighting the Petal Palette Stamp set. This stamp not only has coordinating framelits, but also has DSP, Embossing folders and Memories & More cards, ribbon and embellishments - what a Suite ! For my card today I have coloured the stamped images with Stampin Blends and added a touch of Perfect Plum to the flowers using a Stampin Marker. I've coloured a little messy, but I quite like the effect, I think it adds to the brush stroke imagery of the stamps. I created the background using the dotted stamp from the set, stamping with Versamark onto the Perfect Plum, it totally changed up the look of the card, and finally I added some Glitter Enamel Dots for that touch of bling. I've used some supplies that have been announced on the list to retire, so if you need more Glitter Enamel Dots or anything Perfect Plum now is the time - only available while stocks last or til 31st May. ...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Janet Wakeland

Welcome to today's Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with the amazing Janet Wakeland - you are such an inspiration Janet, I love your crafting, and your stunning photograpy - my favourites would be your eagle photos, and of course Teague & Marburg, they are so entertaining! I chose the below card for CASEing today, I was drawn to the layout, and the weather background. Now for what I was inspired to create!  I created my background using the Hardwood background , inking in both black and Rich Razzleberry, to create a weathered look I used the "splatter" stamp (that's what I call it anyway) from the Touches of Texture stamp set, applying in Pink Pirouette and 3rd generation Rich Razzleberry, then I lightly sponged the edge with Rich Razzleberry too. I had forgotten that I had the Metallic Foil Doilies til I reorganised my craft room a couple of weeks ago - amazing what you find when to take this task on! The large doily layered perfectly with ...

Petal Passion Memories & More... so much more

Hello, today I am participating Kylie's international Highlight featuring our favourite Occasions and Sale-A-Bration items.  I have so many items that I like and have fallen in love with, one of these is the Petal Palette Suite , b ut I must say is that I was so surprised with the Petal Palette Memories and More Card set - and it also co-ordinates with the Petal Passion Suite! I adore the colour palette on these cards, black and white with Powder Pink, and the beautiful brush imagery also leads to shades of grey, featuring beautiful floral images and sentiments, you an create stunning memory keeping pages, but did you know you can also utilise these to create quick cards?  The cards coordinate with the Petal Palette bundle, I've used 2 sentiments from the stamp set, cut them with the banner framelit and layered to gorgeous decorative die underneath the banner.   How amazing is this watercolour wash background, it also reminds me of the backg...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Allison Okamitsu

Hello and welcome to our Crazy Crafters Special Guest Blog hop - today we have the amazing Allison Okamitsu from Canada joining us - so exciting!  Allison is very talent and has been an Artisan team member on 3 separate occasions (living my dream), and has many, many Stampin' Up! achievements, you may be familiar with her blog Nice People Stamp Deciding which one of Allison's amazing creations to CASE was a challenge, I decided on the below - I liked the stamped edge and thin edge layer with the raised focal point in the centre. Here's my CASE of Allison's beautiful project: I used the gorgeous  Petal Palette Bundle  which contains 15 stamps and 10 framelit dies -  for my project I've used 2 of the smaller floral stamps to create the border, and coloured them with Stampin' Blends - all too often we forget about the smaller images in our stamp set, and border stamping is a great way to utilise them! The sentiment and banner framelit die ...
