What do you get when you combine 288 die cuts with 144 pieces of card stock, ribbon, twine and Metallic Thread? Card swaps of course!!!!! Thank goodness for the Stamparatus - it saved me so much time with my stamping, and I needed that time for those delicate die cuts and tying bows on the tags #whatwasithinking !!! But then I realised, this design is all me - I love detail and layers, and I want to share what I love with others, so this is just perfect. I used both sides of both plates and also triple stamped the Soft Sky background with the Touches of Texture moving the plate down a notch each time - talk about easy peasy lemon squeezy! I used a magnet to hold the tag in place whist stamping, which meant I could double stamp if I missed inking it all over without and it would line up perfectly, yay - believe me I didn't want to have to cut any more of those delicate die cuts! I chose the below card for CASEing today, I was drawn to the layout, and the weather background. Now for what I was inspired to create!  I created my background using the Hardwood background , inking in both black and Rich Razzleberry, to create a weathered look I used the "splatter" stamp (that's what I call it anyway) from the Touches of Texture stamp set, applying in Pink Pirouette and 3rd generation Rich Razzleberry, then I lightly sponged the edge with Rich Razzleberry too. Welcome to the Colour INKspiration blog hop, this fortnight I am taking part in the hop as Guest Designer - what an honour! Here are the colours for this fortnights challenge: Love the little duckies in this scene! I took quite some time to decide on my creation as these colours are not natural to me, but hey! that is the great thing about challenges - you get out of your comfort zone and stretch yourself.  In the end I decided the Touches of Texture set would work a treat with this colour selection I started with the watercolour stamping of the flower with Delightful Dijon, then stamped the detail using Tip Top Taupe and Soft Suede, off setting a little each time I stamped, and finished with a layer of gold embossing. I repeated the same process for the stem and Sentiment (from Rose Wonder). Today I am sharing a project with you using the Touches of Texture  stamp set.  You may have seen my post from earlier this week , well this card is quite different:    I've used the background stamps on Mint Macaron cardstock to give a rustic style to my card, I just adore the "negative" image of this particular stamp, and also sponged the edges of my card stock for that "old world" feel. I am just loving the effects that can be created with the Layering Ovals Framelits Dies  too! Hello, welcome to WWYS, this week we are featuring the Touches of Texture stamp set: This set is amazing for creating backgrounds and water colour type effects, but today I thought I would try at bit of a CAS style card with clean lines: I've used my favourite technique of colouring with an Aqua Painter, if you visit my blog often you will be familiar with this. what I have done differently on this card is use Clear Embossing powder with my black ink, it makes a lovely shine for that something a little different on you card - the gorgeous sentiment is from the limited edition Thoughtful Branches  set.
