Miss Pinks Craft Spot

This card came together in no time at all, I love the "scratchy line drawing" of this set, all you need to do is add a bit of a pop of colour and you are done - you don't even need to be specific about colouring to the edge of the lines! I stamped the large image around the top and edge of the card, then coloured with Cherry Cobbler, Mango Melody and Old Olive Stampin' Blends. After choosing my sentiment all that was left to do was add a touch of bling with Gold Glitter Enamel Dots  - the dots come in 4 different sizes and are great for adding more interest to your stamped designs. I really surprised myself with this card, masculine themed cards don't normally come easy to me. I don't really know what made this masculine card "easy" for me, maybe it was the fact that I used the DSP to determine the colours? Anyway, I'll take whatever it was, because I love this card. For added texture on the heart background I ran it through the Subtle Embossing folder twice, turning 90 degrees for the second pass, creating a crisscross effect. I also raised the outer heart by cutting 2 additional layers for extra height....and partly because I changed my mind from Balmy Blue to Night of Navy, hahaha! After sorting through what product will be retiring I just had to do something that felt more practical.... so of to challenge blogs I went for inspiration, and I found just what I was looking for at Freshly Made Sketches & TGIF Challenges .       And here is what I was inspired to create using the soon to be retiring Wonderful Romance bundle. To create the sepia tones I stamped the images with Soft Suede, then coloured with Light & Dark Crumb Cake, Bronze and Light Rich Razzleberry. I offset a layer of Crumb Cake lattice with a scalloped edge under the Very Vanilla, that really made the card look different. I mounted the stamped images using dimensionals, lastly adding gorgeous oval cut sentiment.  I'm really going to miss the variety in the amazing bundle, so many elements to choose from, use one or use many, its a great set to have on the shelf. Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp?   This week we are showcasing one of the Sale-A-Bration FREE items, the gorgeous Lovely Lattice, just look at all that beautiful detail! This was the first SAB item on my list, I immediately fell in love with the intricate detail of the lattice, and I do have a thing for florals. Whilst I love the design, I wanted to try something different, I wasn't in the fussy cutting mood,... so I went a little bit "out of the square" with my design.... one could say I'm was on the edge hahah! Well what do you think! I'm pleasantly surprised at how different the arrangement looks when the focus isn't about the lattice work. I've used Stampin' Blends to add the colour, but you could also use watercolour pencils, or ink with an Aqua Painter or Blender Pen - endless possibilities.
