I said "oh bother", but then my daughter said "hey that looks cool!", how different can two interpretations of a stamping whoopsie be! So yes, I had a whoopsie when stamping the Happy sentiment on my card, I went with "cool, it's like a shadow", I did consider stamping on black and white embossing the sentiment, but hey, I was going to argue with a 13 year old, hahaha! I'm playing along at Freshly Made Sketches , and loved Karen Johnson's card, this is my "variation" on it as a more masculine design. Firstly I used masking to create a crisp edge with each of Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Poppy Parade, Bermuda Bay and Mango Melody, then I cut that panel using a Stitched Rectangle , then cut a large Stitched Rectangle and mounted that over basic black. cutting a birthday die with a Well Written die, then stamping the last of the sentiment from the  Well Said  stamp set. If you follow my creations, you will know that masculine themed cards are my nemesis... but I think today I have succeeded with my creation! For the creation I used a mix of the Layered Circle Dies and Stitched Shapes - I cut the circles in halve (with the exception of the small circle) before adhering together, it was quite easy to align the circles by doing this.  Happy is stamped in Sahara Sand using the Well Said Stamp Set, and the coordinating Birthday Sentiment is die cut from Well Written. I decided to add a layer of texture with the new Tasteful Texture 3D embossing folder - it give more detail than the Subtle embossing folder, which was perfect for this design. I had super fun creating this card today, there are 8 layers/elements to this card, it was.... layers of fun... sorry for the pun! I'm also playing along with the theme from the Global Design Project ,  my project is a montage of greens, made easy with the beautiful Share What You Love Designer Series Paper. I started with 2 coordinating designs of the DSP, and created the central element by cutting with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits - so easy to mix and match the papers by using the framelits. Next I layered on a Mossy Meadow card base, then layered in a strip of Pear Pizzazz  Shimmer Ribbon (of course there is always a little touch of bling).    To raise the floral paper, I cut a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock using the same size framelit as I did for the DSP, then run it through the Big Shot with the Corrugated Embossing folder, it fits perfectly in the gap, just a little shorter at the top and bottom, them I adhered the floral DSP....

This weeks showcase features the Well Said stamp set - with 51 mix and match sentiments, ranging from single words to phases, you are bound to have the right sentiment for every occasion. If that's not enough sentiments for you, then you can also pair with the Well Written framelits, that's another 24 dies - I was super excited when I saw these in the Occasions Catalogue. For my creation, I've used a combination of stamping and die cuts, and for something out of the square for me I didn't layer or mat my card base, instead I created the "mat" by stamping the Blushing Bride background (ever so lightly) with the Crackle Paint Stamp. By using VersaMark for the background stamping made it quite delicate, and so that I didn't have straight egdes, I tore paper and created a mask around the edge of the card before stamping.
