Miss Pinks Craft Spot

Hello crafty friends, I hope you are enjoying the festive season and having fun with family & friends. Today I thought I would use a set from the Annual Catalogue, I decided on  the Sweet as a Peach Bundle . To stamp the peaches I firstly inked up with Pale Papaya then added a touch of Calypso Coral with a dauber, the leaves are Pear Pizzazz  with Soft Suede stems. Easy peasy to cut out with the coordinating dies, and I also cut some twigs in Soft Suede to match the stems. I cut a frame using the Hippo & Friend Dies for the sentiment - to raise the inner section of the frame I ran the round end of my paper piercer around the edge of the die before removing the card stock. Using a Blending Brush I added a touch of Balmy Blue to the base before adhering the sentiment and arranging the peaches and twigs. Hello! it's Monday......boo... but I have a treat for you - yay! Pampered Pets for this weeks  Just Add Ink  - Sketch Challenge . I had a couple of ideas come to mind for this sketch, but I didn't feel like fussy cutting, so instead used the die to cut the dog from the DSP (how cool is that). To not waste any precious doggy images, I first cut around the dog, then used the die - not all the images have a die to cut them, but I will take what I can get when I'm not in a fussy cut mood! Then I cut 3 Stitched Shapes, 2 using the "A & B" side of on of the sheets of DSP, and the other in Whisper White. I used Stampin' Markers to ink up the 2 colours of the sentiment, then clear embossed it to give it a layer of shine and a raised finish. What do you do on a weekend that is cold, wet and windy? Craft of course! The weather the past few days has been miserable, teasing me with moments of sunshine, only to be raining a few minutes later, and the wind, brrrrrr just chilly. My plan was to have a creation day today, armed with a hot cuppa I went into my craftroom and .... nothing, so I went looking for inspiration, and found it at Freshly Made Sketches . Wishing for warmer days I picked up the  Tropical Chic Bundle , I think this is going to be a "go to" set for me, I adore the flowers and the foliage, and the framelits have many options - die cutting the outline of a stamped image, or cutting foliage from coloured card stock.  Here's my FMS inspired creation using this gorgeous bundle: I've altered the design a little by flipping the sketch from portrait to landscape, I also embossed the background like some of the Design Team, love the depth this gave my project.  ...

The weekend is here again, time to get back in the craft room and get creative with yes, NEW TOYS!  I received my Stamparatus delivery earlier in the week along with my Sale-A-Bration freebie - Blossoming Basket Bundle, I am in love with stamp set and embossing folder, here is what I created I really needed this therapy after my 9-5 work week, once I started colouring with my Stampin' Blends things felt so much better!  I love the clean fine lines and detail of this stamp, here's a close up I chose a combination of Light and Dark Pool Party for the main flowers, Light Old Olive, and dash of Light Rich Razzleberry with Pink Pirouette on the small flowers. The basket is Light and Dark Crumb Cake with a touch of Bronze here and her for depth.
