Enjoy the little things Video Blog Hop | Friendship's Sweetest Thoughts Shadow Box

Thank you for joining us again for our "Enjoy the little things in life - Design Team Video Blog Hop". this month our theme "Love". I'm sure you will pick up inspiration from the Design Teams creations, as well as some great ideas and tips including videos that will help you to be more creative.  My creation today is a 3D project, which can house a sweet treat in the form a a mini shadow box. I've used several stamps from the Friendship's Sweets Thoughts stamp set, with the sentiment being the main focus of the design, the decorative edge stamp was the perfect size for the finished 3 x 3 inch project too!  Here's the inside of the shadow box with that little sweet treat surprise: I used water colour pencils with a Blender pen to add colour as Blends would "bleed" through to the reverse side of the lid and show when it was opened. Here's a tutorial of how to create this cute mini shadow box, enjoy! I

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Special Guest Rose Coleman

Hello, and welcome to the last Crazy Crafters Blog hop for 2018, our special guest today is Rose Coleman from Calgary, Alberta in Canada. She has been stamping for 15 years, and has qualified for incentive trips during this time - way to go Rose! Our challenge is to CASE a project made my Rose, whilst I man have been drawn to the pinks, I am a sucker for fun folds I had my project as soon as I saw this: Now I don't recall making a gate fold card before, and as I do tend to do, I made a slightly complicated version of the Interlocking gate fold card, due to the layering on the oval frame, anyway, I love the way it turned out and would do it all over again, here's a look at my project. The frame took a little time to align the 3 elements form the Layering Ovals Framelits : Large Crumb Cake oval frame Blushing Bride scalloped edging Very Vanilla sentiment oval frame But as I said, I am well pleased with my efforts in lining everything up - washi tap

Magical Day goes Ombre

Hello there, welcome back - I've been a bit under the weather the past week and haven't had any crafting mojo, but after more than a full day in bed I'm a bit brighter today and decided to get inky - and the best thing that I find to do when inspiration is eluding me is to surf some challenge blogs, and that's just what I did, and when I saw the Colour INKspiration challenge I had a plan! Here's what I was inspired to create using the new Magical Day bundle featured on page 37 of the Occasions catalogue My daughters favourite colour is green, so as you can image she thinks this is just "epic".  I created the ombre strip on Shimmery white cardstock using a foam brayer. Next I stamped my little mermaid and coloured her with Bermuda Bay light and dark Blends (I so do love these!). I added some extra Wink of Stella, after all a mermaid should have lots of shimmer lol! I applied Versa mark and used sponge daubers to apply Emerald

Sure Do Love You Bundle

The bundle is available in both wood and clear mount.  Bling your projects up with the Painted Love Gold Vinyl Stickers or Tinsel Trim, and if you like shaker cards the Gold Glitter Flakes work a treat. The Speciality Designer Series Paper features gold foil accents on one side and brushstroke imagery on the other The Narrow Note cards with envelope are perfect to create a quick card to pop in with you gift, and also fit perfectly in the boxes you make using the Lots of Love Framelit Dies.
