Hello stampin friends! This month our blog is all about layers, and I love layers!!! My projects are not strangers to layers, so I took a slightly different approach with my creations for this hop. Firstly a slimline card, I created lots of "adhoc" layers with the clouds cut using one of the Basic Borders Dies, and added more with the "tag" die cuts from the Rainbow Happiness Bundle (retiring at the end of this month). I used dimensionals to add height to the different pieces as I adhered them to the Gingham Embossed card front. I used Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Tahitian Tide, Orchid Oasis and Highland Heather for the tags.I added Orchid Oasis Twine before adding the last layer of clouds, and silver heat embossed the sentiment, layering the sentiment tag into a different set of clouds to lift it from the others.  I created a standard box and lid for the scented candle, before folding the lid I did a partial die cut of a c...

Today we have a variety of projects using the Sweet Conversations suite .  Initially I was a bit stumped at what to create, then I thought I don't need to re-invent the wheel, I'm going to CASE one of my own 3d projects of a Mini Shadow Box Treat Holder from a few years ago, here's my latest version: The finished size of the Shadow Box is 3" square - It's a perfect size to fit a sweet treat of love! And how cool is it that the heart chocolate treat are a match for Magenta Madness , it was just meant to be! I stamped a variety of hearts for the lid and finished with a twine bow. Welcome this this month's Stampin Friends Blog Hop, it's a "Summer theme" - my friends in the northern hemisphere are enjoying the sun, s ummer feels like it couldn't be further away for me, you see our heater broke 3 weeks ago, I am counting the days til our air conditioning get replaced and I don't need to have layer upon layer to feel "not cold". Summer = Beach = the Seaside Notions stamp set in the new catalogue! I only got it a couple of weeks ago, I'm in loving the hand drawn look of the images, and thought I would put it together with a water colour background. For something a little different I've used clear blocks to create my water colour background - this technique is so much fun and easy to boot too, it's a win, win. Welcome to this month's Ink it! Stamp it! 3D themed blog hop - I LOVE 3D cards and projects, they are so much fun!  I've been getting in the Easter theme this week, so decided to create a 3D Easter project for you. I've been super busy this week, so rather than "re-invent" the wheel so to speak, I utilised Clear Treat Boxes to create today's project. I dressed up the bottom of the box my cutting the "grass" using the Basket Builder Framelits - they fitted perfectly folded in half, here's a view of the back of the box: You can also see in this picture that I created a "mounting" square for the chocolate eggs and bunny, here's what it looked like before I folded it to fit in the box: I cut a 2 1/2" square, and scored at a 1/4 on all sides, then cut 2 circles with the 3/4" punch and used the smallest layering oval framelit - the intention wasn't to make a face, but it did put a smil...
