Hello crafty friends, it's time this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Fresh Freesia, Blackberry Bliss & Pale Papaya - such a gorgeous collection! I've used the Rays of Light background stamp, for the focus image of the card.  I used the Stamparatus to apply the ink to the background stamp - I used a dauber, applying one colour at a time, and restamping if I wanted a deeper colour.  For some bling I added Gilded Leafing , using Multi Purpose adhesive, waiting til it was tacky then added the Leaf. I like gold with purple tones, and he gold embossed sentiment from Color & Contour sentiment fits perfectly with colour and the feel of the card. I love the visual effect of sun peeking through clouds, so I die cut the sentiment layer using a Basic Border die for this effect. Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Hello, the Crafty Challenge blog hop is back this month with a colour challenge, and what a gorgeous set of colours we have: As soon as I saw the colours, I knew I was using flowers somewhere, it wasn't until I created the card I surprised myself by making the cardstock the "hero" by adding subtle detail with embossing and shimmer. Blushing Bride, So Saffron & Flirty Flamingo is just a gorgeous combo. I started by stamping the flower image with VersaMark, then heat embossing with White Powder. I stamped the sentiment opposite corners of the card - so easy to line up with a photopolymer stamp! Next I cut all 3 colours using the 2nd smallest Scalloped Contours dies, I also cut 3 in Basic White and adhered to the coloured cardstock to give a little more support for when I popped them up on dimensionals.  Lastly I added Shimmer with a Wink of Stella - add as little or as much as you want, I went with lots for this design! I spent this morning doing some errands and grocery shopping, so this afternoon I got inky to play along with the Global Design Projects colour challenge, I just couldn't say no to these colours: I decided to go with a more subtle or pastel version of the colours and achieved this by using Blending Brushes . I started by adding Pool Party to the centre region of my card base, leaving the top and bottom free from colour, then I stamped and Silver embossed the sentiment from Happiest Birthdays , then cut with a scalloped frame using a die from the Scalloped Contour dies . I used Blending Brushes on some offcuts with Polished Pink and Pale Papaya, then stamped with the outline stamp from Colour & Contour and Silver embossed before cutting with the coordinating die. I had forgotten how mesmerising heat embossing can be, it is simply just gorgeous with this sentiment. With all the pieces coloured and cut I assembled and finished with Basic Rhinestone gems. Th...
