Tap Tap Tap | WWYS#66

Happy Monday! It's What Will You Stamp? time, this weeks featured set is Tap Tap Tap. Today's post is a little sad as the featured set is due for retirement in a couple of days, there is still time to grab it, so lets say farewell in style! I've created cards in 2 different styles. My first card has a rustic, vintage feel to it, the second features the same stamped image, but has clean lines creating a more modern feel. The first thing that came to mind when seeing this set was the old typewritter - I remember seeing these when I when to my Dad's work as a young child, and I do recall learning to type at school on a updated version (oh no showing my age!) unlike the computer keyboards we use now. I coloured the typewriter using Crumb Cake and an Aqua Painter, leaving the "paper" with the sentiment untouched.  To create an aged feel I sponged the edges of card stock, then I curled with the bone folder to give a bit of a "dog eared

Swirly Scribbles Rose

Oh my, Swirly Scribbles is amazing!   I must admit, when I first saw Swirly Bird and Swirly Scribbles I did glance over it, but now that I have the bundle and have a play I am sold, I can see so many possibilities !  How adorable is this rose! The rose is cut using the smallest of the swirls, I stamped and fussy cut the Blushing Bride background, added a little shimmer with Wink of Stella.  Die cut and stamped the leaves and my rose was done.  You can purchase Swirly Bird and Swirly Scribbles from June 1st individually or as a bundle and save 10%. I've used the Layering Squares framelits to create my frame. I love the variety in this new set -  there are 10 scalloped and 9 straight edged squares, perfect for layering, or in this case to create a gorgeous scalloped frame for the sentiment. These new framelits are available from June 1st.  I used my trusty Hardwood  background stamp (one of my favourites) to give more depth to the card and I think it also makes the se

Funky Flower Patch

I was ask to make a special card for an 18th Birthday - I decided a "Fun Fold" was in order! I saw an adorable Tri-step card whilst crusing Pinterest on the train the other morning, and it was the inspiration for this 18th Birthday Card. The Number of Years  stamp set and co-ordinating Large Number Framelits  are perfect for a special "age" card - well actually, you can make any birthday or anniversary special with these!   They are available as a Bundle  Bundle til 31st May 2016, after that the items are still available but will need to be purchased separately. I used the smaller flowers from Flower Patch  to create my funky back ground and the co-ordinating Flower Fair Framelits  for the "pop up" flowers.  These are also  available as a  Bundle  til 31st May 2016, after that the items are still available but will need to be purchased separately. The sentiment is from Cottage Greetings  - it pairs perfectly for this funky card. I'm

Endless Birthday Wishes | WWYS#65

It's Monday, so that means there is a fresh What Will You Stamp? challenge.  This week we are showcasing Endless Birthday Wishes.   I adore the font in this set, and the cake is just too cute!  I've used Washi Tape from the It's my Party range on the edge of my raised layers, and stamped the sentiment on the base of the card. I used aqua painters to colour the cake and cut used the new layering square framelits (available in the 2016-2017 Catalogue), how delicate is the scalloped edge? Just gorgeous! Whilst I went with a traditional sentiment for my card; this set has truly endless possibilities in terms of creating you own special message - how amazing is that!  Click below to see all the inspiring creations from the Design Team, we would love you to join in the fun too!  How many different sentiments can you come up with? Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me whe

Under the sea with Friends & Flowers and Swirly Scribbles

I've gone to the sea with Friends and Flowers with some help from Swirly Scribbles - I never would have thought of this as sea weed til my husband said so! I had a vision for my case of Paula's card for this weeks challenge at Global Design Project - I love the raised sentiment "you" and straight away the Swirly Scribbles thinlets came to mind, and the Freshly Made Sketch challenge worked in perfectly too!          I excitedly started by choosing the funky Bermuda Bay and Kraft pattern from the Shine on Speciality DSP, Bermuda Bay card stock and I was on my way.......however that is as far as I got, then I was in the middle of a "non-card" when my husband said "you need some bubbles and a fish".  I searched for bubbles - Swirly Bird, and then saw that Friends and Flowers has a fish, some clear embossing powder and a touch of Wink of Stella and vwalah! Friends & Flowers is on the retiring list, so only available til May 3

Swirly Sneak Peek Just for You

Today I'm mixing a bit of the old and with a bit of the new, so you get to have a sneak peak at Swirly Bird - one of the new sets available in the 2016 -2017 Annual Catalogue. I've used one of the designs from the It's my Party DSP pack for the background (yay, I cut into another sheet), and then Swirly Bird has been for the stamped images and die cut is from the Swirly Scribbles thinlets - these items will also be available as a bundle.  I think you will see a lot of this set as it has endless possibilities for a variety of themes and designs. The 2 smaller flowers are stamped with Sweet Sugarplum and Flirty Flamingo - both from the 2016-2018 In Color collection.  I made a small banner and stamped with one of the many sentiments from Teeny Tiny Sentiments I also stamped one of the corners on the inside of the card Thanks for stopping by today, hope you enjoyed the sneak peek!  I would love to update you when I create a post!
