Christmas Classics with Joy of Noel

Hi there crafty friends! Its pageant day in Adelaide today. After a busy working week I didn't feel like the early start to get a good possie or battling the crowds in the city, so I decided to make a Christmas card from the tranquility of my craft studio instead. I combined that stamped image from Joy of Noel with sentiments from Christmas Classics - these 2 stamp set combine beautifully! I used slightly not traditional colours by opting for a wash to lighten Moody Mauve berries instead of "red" and Pretty Peacock for the leaves. I used the edge of a Deckled Rectangle die to create the Moody Mauve "torn edges" down either side of the card front - a fun alternative to a straight cut. Some Elegant silver twine and rhinestone bling to finish. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. Happy Birthday to you with Zany Zoo

Hello crafty friends, I've been up early and got most of my weekend chores out of the way and rewarded myself with some extra time to get creating today - I'm playing along with 2 challenges: I've used one of the super cute critters from the Zany Zoo bundle to capture Crumb Cake and Mossy Meadow, and cut a "cloud template" with my fav Basic Border die and blended Misty Moonlight clouds. After blending the clouds I cut 4 Deckled Rectangles , encasing the sentiment; as well as 4 Basic White rectangles. I made a double layer with the rectangle before slotting in place on the card front to give the silhouette feature some pop. No bling for this card as the colours lean towards a masculine themed card - oh wow, look at that, normally my nemesis and I did without thinking, but I'm so happy with this super cute card! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used ...

Deckled Irresitible Blooms

Hello crafty friends, have you seen the Online Exclusives? Well here is just one of the online exclusive products - I've used various items from the " Hello, Irresistible Suite Collection " for my card to show you today, you can purchase the entire suite,or just pick individual items. At first glance it looks like the flowers have been white embossed on a gorgeous watercolour look back ground, but no, the focal image of the card is Designer Series Paper!  Don't you just love how the DSP does most of the work for you!   I used a Deckled Rectangle Die to cut the diagonal edge of the Basic White cardstock to frame the DSP before sponge daubers to apply a mix of Petal Pink, Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flaming the sentiment, then added some Loose Frosted Dots to finish - super easy and stunning to boot! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click o...

Nothing's Better Than.... Fun in the Sun

Fun in the Sun..... I'm in the southern hemisphere, so I wish! It seems like weeks that I've had thermals and the heater on at home, so even the thought of Fun in the Sun makes me feel a little warmer. When I think of a fun in the sun day, it is with family and friends, and in more cases than not there would be a favourite bevvy involved, so I decided that the Nothing's Better Than stamp set was perfect! I've used Polished Pink, Tahitian Tide and Coastal Cabana as my colour theme, I used the Deckled Rectangle dies to "tear" the sides of the cardstock; these dies are now my "go to" for rough finishes as I don't like tearing cardstock by hand - weird I know, but hey it's just a "me thing". As July is watercolour month, I used that theme for the Shimmery White background and colouring of my cocktails. I added some shimmer to the glasses with Wink of Stella, and some Tahitian Tide In Color Twine twine and Basic Rhinestone Gems to fini...
