Falling in Love | So Very Much

The new year is almost here, so that means Sale-A-Bration is almost here too!   This card is really easy to make; all you need to do is cut into your Falling in Love DSP, stamp your sentiment on Very Vanilla, make an angled cut, mount the elements on you card base and add a lovely embellishment for that finishing touch! For some extra bling I added Dazzling Diamonds to my sentiment stamping, it gave the Sahara Sand a beautiful gold glow! All the items you see here are available from 4th January, the DSP and embellishment are part of the Falling in Love Suite and the sentiment from So Very Much is a freebie stamp set available during Sale-A-Bration.  Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! Dragonfly Dreams with a spritz

I adore the background stamp from the  Dragonfly Dreams set. In my previous sneak peek I stamped off to create a lighter pattern, today thought I would try adding some water.... .  No need to adjust your focus! Isn't it interesting to see how the colours meld and create their own patterns depending on how much or little water is spritzed? Not a technique to use if you want your image to be precise, but fantastic for random backgrounds. I experimented using a combination of aqua painters, stamping & stamping off as well as adding water before and after stamping to obtain different depths of colour and clarity of stamping - it was fun trying different combinations and now I have a supply of pre-created backgrounds for future projects too! These are some of my favourites, and below is what I chose for background for my card: My husband has been on photographic sites the past few evenings exploring different techniques and images - for me the combination of gr

Birthday Blast Card in a Box

Today I have another sneak peek for you in the form of a "card in a box" This fun card in a box is made using the Birthday Blast Bundle, the Star Blast edgelit is just perfect to create the middle section of the box - no mess no fuss! The card is for my brother, not my choice of colours, but they represent his favourite football team, here's another angle of the box The stamping is done using the Bermuda Bay Ombre stamp pad, such a lovely effect. I also adore the "swirly" edgelit, I used it on both the edges and the back of the card These products are available from 4th of January in the Occasions Catalogue - not many sleeps now! Here's to Cheers | #WWYS96

Welcome to What Will You Stamp? this week the challenge set is to create a project using the Here's to Cheers set - did you know it also coordinates beautifully with the Cheerful Tags Thinlets     I have had lots of fun creating projects with this set leading up to Christmas, here is my latest project using the set to create a lovely label for a "biscuit in a Jar" gift Whilst my projects have been Christmas themed, I can see myself using this set way past Christmas - I love the little "swirly" accents in the set - they dress up a simple stamped sentiment beautifully, see the corners of the tag below: J ust think of the possibilities with this set, these swirls add such a special touch to a project and could so easily be used with many other stamp sets.  Here is another project I whipped up on Christmas Eve using this set To see all the great projects from the Design Team and to participate in this weeks challenge at What Will

Dragonfly Dreams Sneak Peek

Today I have another sneak peek for you - I've used three new product lines from the 2017 Occasions catalogue I've used the stunning Detailed Dragonfly thinlets to create the focal point of my card, isn't it just gorgeous; I sponged Watermelon Wonder onto shimmery white cardstock, concentrating more colour where I would be cutting the body of the dragonfly. T he dots in the background are from the coordinating Dragonfly Dreams stamp set. The background is lightly water coloured with "stamped off" dots so they weren't too intense. I used a dauber and applied ink from the centre towards the edge of the"thanks" sentiment from Suite Sentiments to give it a faded, soft effect at the edges. I've decided to enter this card in two challeges - Stamp Ink Paper's 'Anything But Christmas"  and Just Add Ink's "Just Add...N" after all I used 3 N ew items :) Remember, it's not long til you can get

Flurry of Wishes | #WWYS95

Less than a week til Christmas! The challenge set this week at What Will You Stamp? is to create a project using Flurry of Wishes from page 29 of the Annual Catalogue. This set has the matching Snow Flurry Punch for cutting the 2 smaller snowflakes and also coordinates with the Flower Medallion Punch for the medium snowflake. I decided to silver emboss all my stamping, I punched the 2 smaller snowflakes and mounted using dimensionals and added some silver thread. A quick and simple card with a lovely elegant effect. Ombre for Christmas

I've discovered an amazing way to use the Ombre Stampin' Pads!  Check this out What a great effect the Ombre Stampin' Pad gives these Christmas trees!  I added my customary bling in the way of Dazzling Diamonds for snow touched effect on the trees. I cut one tree using the coordinating Perfect Pinesframelits for the Peaceful Pines stamp set, added some coloured gems and a gold star and mounted using Dimensionals to create a feature tree.  I'm entering this card in Stamp Ink Paper's Winter Holiday Challenge - why not pop over and have a look at the other creations Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post!
