DinoRoar fun at 50

Welcome to this month's Stampers Showcase Blog hop featuring MASCULINE themed projects, this is going to be such a fun hop! I do struggle with masculine themed cards, they don't come easily to me, but I wasn't going to be beaten by this theme. I decided to put a fun theme into my card for a 50th birthday, featuring the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper. My hubby is young at heart, so when he said he needed a card for a friends birthday I got the idea to use the Dinoroar DSP, and I used the retired Large Number Framelits to capture the special milestone. Those dinosaurs are soooo cute! To give a little more pop to the design I added some clear glue over the numbers using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen..... I can't wait to get my hands on the new Shimmery Crystal Effects from the upcoming holiday catalogue. Next on the hop is Stephanie Nash from Canada at Inspire Me; click on the icon to be taken to her blog and see her fabulous project.  Th...

A Bird Ballad Flourish

Rimmer is growing fast, interesting in everything... including ink pads (there was a near miss with him almost creating a card with inky feet) eating lots, and sleeping too, so I made the most of his nap time and are joining the Global Design challenge with my creation. I like the central strip with the little elements at the top and bottom in the sketch, and made these my main elements. I took liberty and turned the design 90 degrees so I could use some DSP and stamped "scraps".... I hate to waste anything when I create! I added the flourish die cut to compliment the dSP, and by doing in whisper white it's subtle and doesn't over power the DSP. For my touch of bling I used some Frosted Epoxy droplets. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. If you live in Australia and don't already have a demonstrator I'd love love to be yours.  PS: here i...

Stampin Friends July 2019

Welcome to this months Stampin' Friends Blog Hop. This month's theme is has no boundaries, anything goes, so you are going to see a lot different themes. I decided on a Christmas in July theme, after all, you can never to be prepared for Christmas - it always seem to sneak up on me before I know it!  I popped some winter coloured treats in a mini treat box and tied a Tiffany type bow, and created a little tag with some off cuts and spare die cuts (I keep a container full of random die cuts just in case). After water colouring the background with Balmy Blue, Highland Heather and Pool Party, I die cut a sentiment using the Merry Christmas dies. When the background was dry, stamped the snowflakes from Colorful Seasons and embossed with Shimmer White embossing powder, then lastly stamped Merry. You can see the shimmer a little better in this picture, I was trying to beat the sun setting when I took these photos, there is a lot more shimmer in real life. ...
