Blossoming Happiness Abounds

Hey there crafty friends, its been a really cold day in Adelaide today, so I decided to say put get nice and warm and have a creative afternoon. I've been waiting for time to myself to enjoy some of my recent purchases, and today I've used the Happiness Abounds Bundle from the Hues of Happiness Suite the first time. As tempted as I was to die cut some of the gorgeous flowers from the DSP, I restrained my self to creating a simple card - using the decorative die and a sentiment to create a #simplestamping design. I decided to add some subtle bling behind the die cut by adhering a layer of Metallic Mesh Ribbon, then I heat embossed the sentiment and added some Rhinestones to finish. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you have enjoyed my offering for this month and that you like the sneak peek enough to consider obtaining this tutorial from me.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel running. Hello there Full of Love

Hello crafty friends, I got inky with a stamp set from the new catalogue this afternoon - I think this stamp set may be a "hidden gem" as it's not part of a suite or bundle; for me line outline graphics and simple sentiments stood out in the Full of Love stamp set. I decided to step this card up by adding layers and embossing - after colouring with Pale Papaya, Polished Pink, Fresh Freesia & Soft Succulent Stampin Blends and cutting the focal image with the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies I dry embossed the background with the Stitched Greenery Die , and wow what a difference this made! I cut 2 additional circles and glued all 3 together to raise the focal stamped image - nice and solid for postage. For some signature bling I added Simply Elegant Trim behind the embossed sentiment, and finished with Rhinestones . Thanks for visiting today,  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel run...

Flowering Fields with the All Star Tutorial Team

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new All Star Tutorial. This month we are showcasing the  Flowering Fields suite  from the Jan-June 2022 Mini Catalogue. The All Star Tutorial Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. I was intending to have Tulips for my wedding flowers, one thing lead to another and I had to change  my floral arrangement, so today I decided to make my card with hot pink Tulips that I fell in love with all those years ago. After cutting the dies in Polished Pink and creating the tulips I added subtle shades using both Light and Dark Stampin' Blends. I stamped and cut the sentiment and embossed the background layer, then positioned with the stems and tulips, using dimensional to hold things in place. Then I worked in the leaves. Lastly I added some Rhinestones for bling and a coordinating bow to even the colour top to bottom. Flowering Fields Insp...

Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2022

Hello crafters, welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Pacific Point, Balmy Blue & Crumb Cake. At first a was a little stumped, the I say sky and beach, which led me to the On the Horizon stamp set for my card. I started by stamping the plants, followed by the sentiment and then positioned the birds between to be an extension of the sentiment. Next I applied Balmy Blue with a Blender Brush down to the plants, leaving taking care not to go to the edge of the card front. To create the ocean I tore a strip of paper and placed over the sky and lightly applied Pacific Point with the Blending Brush, then I moved the torn paper and repeated several times moving towards the base of the plants. I applied Crumb Cake in the same manner as the ocean near the base of the plants and then just blended towards the bottom of the card leaving the edges free of colour. I splattered a little Crumb Cake by flicking the tip of my Stampin Write Marker wi...
