Slimline Florets for Birthday Wishes

Hello crafty friends, I got into the studio today and got inky with the Fitting Florets Suite (available for customer purchase from 1st November 2022) so many beautiful floral elements to choose from, it was almost like it was Christmas for me!  I wanted to show you something that was a bit of an alternate design compared to many creations I have seen: Firstly.... I couldn't bring myself to cut into the paper - but it WILL happen! Secondly,  a slimline design, I'm really loving creating this style of card, and my choice of colours - the Designer Series paper if gushing with tones of pinks (oh my, yes and yes), but I thought I would try purples with a hit of orange for my flowers. Thirdly, I used white embossing and coloured using a Water Painter - Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya with Soft Succulent, and Flirty Flamingo on the tiny flowers and into the center of the Pale Papaya which really gave them a lift. The oval dies are just gorgeous, designed to give you multiple ways to ador...

Sweet Gingerbread for #GDP365

Hello crafters, I'm getting back in my groove with another colour challenge, this time from the Global Design Project , and I'm just adoring these colours as a Christmas alternative with a hint of Pink! I was inspired to get out my Sweet Gingerbread bundle after I saw a gorgeous creation by Mikaela Titheridge . For my design I decided to add a  Wonderful Snowflake and compliment some Iridescent Pearls. I used the lollypop stamp around the edge of the card base to create pretty swirls, for adding my raised card front which I splattered with a Stampin' Write marker. This super cute set is photopolymer so it is easy to line up your stamping on the gingerbread house, and there are lots of coordinating dies to cut elements like the windows, door and roof if you don't want to stamp  them in your design, lots of ways to mix and match - why not grab yourself the bundle today? Sweet Gingerbread Bundle Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned...

Believe with Rays of Light

Hello crafty friends! What a week it's been, I thought I may have had covid, but tests were negative - but what ever bug I had knocked me for six, spending a number of days in bed and on the couch, I feel like I've turned the corner and had the energy to get back in the craft studio today, my mojo was lacking so I went to some of my favourite blog challenges and found inspiration here: My card today is simple, with just a touch of Wink of Stella for some bling inside the sentiment from the Jingle Jingle Jingle stamp set . I used sponge daubers to blend the challenge colours on the Rays of Light background stamp , then used offset matting on a Pacific Point card base - the card came together really quickly once I got started. I just needed to "believe" my mojo would come back after 10 or so days of not creating, and it did!  I can't believe I didn't have the Rays of Light stamp on my first wish list, it so versatile, you should grab one for yourself today!   Ji...

Simply Fabulous Butterfly Kisses

It's school holidays and the weekend, so with my daughter at grandma's it was the perfect time to get into the studio and get creating. A new order of goodies arrived earlier in the week, so perfect timing! I had the Best Butterflies bundle and co-ordinating Butterfly Kisses 6 x 6 DSP in my sights, as well as the Simply Fabulous stamp set. The colours in the Butterfly Kisses DSP are so sweet, I just had to cut in the DSP. I decided on a Slimline design so I could use the full length of the paper, overlaying the strips with a gorgeous floral print, there were lots of possibilities for the combination of the DSP, I finally decided on a combination of Fresh Freesia, Poppy Parade and Parakeet Party. I adore the font on the Simply Fabulous stamp set, and decided on the "just saying Hello" sentiment which I White heat embossed, then cut a cute butterfly with the dies and mounted on a circle to make it pop above the DSP. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed vie...

Rustic Harvest Suite with the All Star Tutorial Team

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new All Star Tutorial. This month we are showcasing the  Rustic Harvest suite  from the July-Dec 2022 Mini Catalogue. The All Star Tutorial Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. I've used the Hello Harvest bundle for my card today, colouring the floral arrangement with Stampin' Blends , then die cut and adhered to the centre piece with Dimensionals.  Gingham and flowers is one of my favourite combinations, the embossed background is subtle but adds detail. I've used lots of matting layers, Basic Black made the sunflowers stand out, and White heat embossing the sentiment on Basic Black really makes it pop. Lastly I added a touch of bling with Basic Rhinestones and a cute bow with In Color twine . Color Fusers Blog Hop October 2022

Hello crafty friends, it's time this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Early Espresso, Mango Melody, Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay - to begin with I was stumped, I thought about Sunflowers but then I eyed my Butterfly Brilliance bundle on my shelf and that's where my mojo headed. So butterflies, I was going to stamp in Early Espresso and colour with the other challenge colours, then I thought why not die cut and create a background - the rest is history, with the help of the Hello Beautiful stamp set. It's all to easy to forget about those little stamps we have in our stamp sets, but don't overlook them as they can make beautiful backgrounds.   Be sure to continue on through the rest of the Color Fusers Blog Hop by clicking the button below for lots more inspiration using this month’s colors.
