I am just loving how effective the new Detailed Floral Thinlet dies look! How amazing is this intricate design, and it was such a simple card to make: use the thinlets,  glue the die cuts to your card and  stamp a sentiment  I think I took longer to decide that I wanted to use Rich Razzleberry cardstock for the design! The Floral Phrases  stamp set has a lovely variety of sentiments, today I went with the Thank You sentiment - the long phrase appealed to me and I adore how it finished off the card.   These Detailed Floral Thinlets Dies  are amazing, they give such a detailed effect for very little effort, just run them through your Big Shot and you are done.  There are 3 in the pack, 2 for the intricate floral design and an edgelit that can be used with both of the floral framelits - I have used all 3 for my card today, by using the edgelit I was able to cut the 2 panels for the top and bottom of the card. ...

It's been a cold, wet and miserable week in Adelaide, and the way I have been feeling you could be mistaken for thinking that I have made this card for myself!   I've finally found some energy and was able to go into my "craft zone" this afternoon, when I saw the Global Design Project Get Well Soon Theme I knew what had to be done! Whenever my daughter goes to her doctor she always comes away feeling better with a Lollipop regardless of her real ailment!  That was the source of the idea for my card:   Put a lovely sweetie with a mix bright happy colours and a Get Well sentiment, who wouldn't feel better when they cast their eyes on this card!   I've made the lolly pop with the help of a cake pop stick (and managed not to have to make any cake pops this afternoon) , and mixed Melon Mambo with two of the new In Colours  The new Swirly bird stamp set is so versatile - it is fast becoming a "go-to" set for me. Welcome back to another week with What Will You Stamp?   This week we are featuring the gorgeous You've Got This set. The solitary flower in this set is just lovely, it makes such a statement.  I've water coloured using Pink Pirouette with a touch of Sweet Sugar Plum for added depth and Wild Wasabi for the stem. the glistening "early morning" shimmer on the petals is thanks to  Wink of Stella!  I created the scalloped edging on the sentiment border by some "creative Big Shotting" using the new Layered Squares framelits! I chose the largest scalloped square, and instead of rolling all the way through the Big Shot and cutting the square I stopped short and then repositioned the framelit to make a long strip - a little fiddly til I got the hang of it, but well worth it to create of the scalloped border. Green is not a normal "go to" colour for me, I decided to use the new "2016-2018 In Colors" for this weeks Global Design Sketch, and I am so glad I did!  I am just loving Emerald Envy, so much so that I changed up my original plan of a thin strip of Emerald Envy with Whisper White to making Emerald Envy the hero of this card! Happy Monday! It's What Will You Stamp? time, this weeks featured set is Tap Tap Tap. Today's post is a little sad as the featured set is due for retirement in a couple of days, there is still time to grab it, so lets say farewell in style! I've created cards in 2 different styles. My first card has a rustic, vintage feel to it, the second features the same stamped image, but has clean lines creating a more modern feel. The first thing that came to mind when seeing this set was the old typewritter - I remember seeing these when I when to my Dad's work as a young child, and I do recall learning to type at school on a updated version (oh no showing my age!) unlike the computer keyboards we use now. I coloured the typewriter using Crumb Cake and an Aqua Painter, leaving the "paper" with the sentiment untouched.  To create an aged feel I sponged the edges of card stock, then I curled with the bone folder to give a bit of a "dog eared...
