One Step at a Time with Thoughtful Branches

I can't believe how amazing the Thoughtful Branches bundle is!  This is my first play with this set, and I just love how my card turned out. I made this card with the #frommetoyouwhenyourefeelingblu movement Petra Tailor from the Crazy Crafters has started - it is such a wonderful idea to make and send a handmade card to someone you how is having a difficult time. After all, some days all of us need to take things one step at a time to get to the end of the day, and it is amazing how even a thoughtful comment from a total stranger can help us get through these days; so just image how the surprise of receiving a handmade card can make someone you care about feel makes you feel . My colour inspiration came from a trip to Mt Lofty in the Adelaide Hills a few months ago, the beautiful autumn colours just look amazing when stamped with this new set. See details below for more information about this amazing limited time bundle! Thanks for visiting today, I ho...

You're Sublime | #WWYS72

It's Monday, so that mean's a new showcase over at What Will You Stamp?  This week we have the super cute, super fun You're Sublime  stamp set to play along with. First glance at this set it may not grab you, but once you start to stamp it is contagiously cute, so much so I couldn't stop at one!  I made 3 fun 10cm x 10cm note cards: Shaker cards are so Fun, so what better way to show off this fun set.  How adorable is this little toad! I raided some of my daughters crafting supplies for the mini star sequins and added to the Brights collection, and I am just loving Emerald Envy for the colour. Say hello to the "Love Sub", well that's my pet name for this card anyway!  I fussy cut the sub and masked the little fishes and sentiment so they could be stamped on  the top layer of the card One thing to note when making shaker cards..... remember to put your window sheet layer on your card for the shaker before...

Falling Flowers | #WWYS71

Hello Monday! It's What Will You Stamp? time again, this week we are showcasing one of the new 2016-2017 catalogue stamp sets - Falling Flowers. If your are a regular visitor to my blog you may be thinking you have seen a similar card before, well you have, but this time I have re-sized so that rather than being a tall and skinny card, it is the normal C6 card size,  because I loved it so much! The great thing about resizing this card is that it means that you can get 2 Z-fold cards from 1 piece of A4 card stock, AND you don't need to make a custom size envelope - Win, Win! To do this I measured down 14.5 cm on one side on an A4 sheet of card stock and measured up 14.5 cm on the other side to create the diagonal, then cut with my trimmer, repeating with Whisper White, here is what the cut looks like before scoring and adding the flowers: Score your card at 9.9 cm, turn and score at 9.9.cm again from the other end to create the folds.  I trimm...

Watercolor Wings | Pastels Just for you

I love layers, so I adore this card design, it is so simple but has a WOW factor! The basic design is to layer panels onto the front of your card, with a strip peeking through from the base of the card, then have an element that spans both panels to bring the whole card together - see so simple! I created this card to play along with Pootles Colour Challenge 001 using Smoky Slate, So Saffron, Pool Party and Pink Pirouette (such a gorgeous combination),  and Just Add Ink #318..."Just Add S " I have used the beautiful Watercolour Wings  set to stamp my butterfly, spots and sentiment for the colour challenge, and  m y  " S " elements are  S pots,  S equins &  S himmer (courtesty of Wink of S tella) ! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . Mixed Borders - not just for borders! | GDP042

Today I'm playing along with the Global Design Project , this week they have a wonderful sketch challenge:   And here's my card: I stamped the Blushing Bride background using Work of Art  on Shimmery White card stock, and gorgeous delicate flowers are from the new Mixed Borders  stamp set - not just for Borders after all, lol!      Here's a close up that shows the beautiful shimmer of the card stock. I love the double banner in the sketch and carried this theme through the entire sentiment on the card by double cutting and layering "you" using the Hello You Thinlits Dies . The  Crazy About You  stamp set has a great selection of sentiments to coordinate with these thinlets. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here .
