It's a Birthday Bash with the Stampin Friends Blog Hop

Welcome to the first Blog Hop for the year for Stampin Friends, this month we have a Birthday Bash for you. I decided to showcase the Bonazna Buddies Bundle (page 34 of the Mini Catalogue), it's a super cute set, I won't lie, I was drawn in as soon as I saw the Koala, they are so adorable in real life. I've used the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper for the background of my card, and then stamped and die cut a toucan for my mini shaker gift holder. The Stitched Rectangle Dies coordinate beautifully with the Bonanza Dies, I also added the stitched highlights into the card front and around the embossed sentiment. After cutting the tag I used the Rectangle Dies and created the shaker window and the background. The flip side of the tag has been folded so that you can insert a folded note as a gift. Be sure to work you way through all the Stampin Friends in the list below, there are so many amazing creations you w...

Bloom & Grow Around the World

Thanks for joining me today as I join the Stamping Around the World Design Team for their January Blog Hop as a guest designer. If you are not familiar with me, here's some "crafty Sue facts" I love PINK! You never would have guessed, hahaha, no give away with my Blog name or colour! Flowers tend to be my thing - I find designs with florals come naturally to me Did someone say layers? I love layers, I really struggle with CAS cards Bling, you can't have a card without a little touch of bling! I'm a DSP hoarder,.... I know, I know - amazing things can happen when you actually use your DSP, making the first cut is the hardest, after that I'm usually OK I used the Bloom & Grow Stamp set for my tutorial, and today I have another project made with this set to show you. As I mentioned, pink is my favourite colour, so I couldn't go past adding Melon Mambo to my creation. I've used Watercolour pencils to colour the ima...

Just a Note To a Wild Rose

I've been inking up one of my favourite sets to fill in time during the extreme heat we have been having in Adelaide, I do really like the look the Two-Step Stampin gives to your creation. Melon Mambo for the win with 1st and 2nd generation stamping to get the tonal effect on the flowers, with Old Olive. The sentiment from Flourishing Phrases, is an oldie but a goodie when it goes to sentiments! For added texture in the background I used the Layered Leaves Embossing folder, and Nobel Peacock Rhinestones for a touch of bling. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.
