Hey there Scottie Dog!

Hello crafty friends, I've had a play with the Artistic Mix Decorative Masks for today's card, I hope you like it. I've done colour on colour on colour with Flirty Flamingo.  I started with Flirty Flamingo card stock, layered both of the masks, and applied Flirty Flamingo ink with a Blending Brush, then I removed the top mask and applied another layer of Flirty Flamingo to get a subtle 3 tone tartan effect for the background of the card. I stamped one of the dogs from the Christmas Scottie stamp set and "hey there" from Charming Sentiments . I die cut 2 Stylish Shapes circles, and stamped tartan on the smallest one. All that was left to do was position the circles and finish with a bow cut using the coordinating Scottie Dog Punch which I then added some Wink of Stella for bling and some Black Matte Dots. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, ju...

Whimsical Woodland Christmas Scottie Stampin' Dreams

Hello stampers, we have " Christmas in July" as our theme for the Stampin' Dreams Blog Hop this month, lots to see from the new Mini Catalogue, so lets get started! The Whimsical Woodland 3D embossing folder to creates a cute background on Parakeet Party, I decided to use the reverse side or debossed image for something a little different. The focal point of the card is from the Christmas Scottie Bundle , a super cute stamp set and coordinating punch, adding Red Rhinestone Jewels for the doggy collar. I matched a circle from Stylish Shapes with a scalloped circle from Layering Circles , and added the scalloped edge from  the Penned Flowers dies  finishing with some Sweet Sorbet In Colour Twine to match the sentiment. It's time to Water Colour!

Hi there crafty friends, today our hop features techniques for water colouring. I'll be honest, back in my school days I was more of a fan of oils than watercolours; but I still dabble with a bit of water colouring here and there with cards when the mood takes me. Today I thought I would try the "no line" technique, I really like projects I've seen, so here's what I managed to do: I stamped the top of image from the  Full of Love  stamp set (I didn't ink up the envelope in the image) in Sahara Sand multiple times, my ink application was a little uneven - maybe a little too dark in places when I review the finished project, and I think it may also have been easier if I had chosen an image with larger flowers for my first attempt too - all food for thought when I use this technique again in the future. I coloured the flowers using Polished Pink, Highland Heather, Parakeet Party, Daffodil Delight and Balmy Blue, adding some splatters of Sahara Sand & Balmy Bl...

Introducing North Pole Mischief | July - December Mini Catalogue Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends, are you ready to lots of creations using items from the new Mini Catalogue? Get a cuppa and get comfy and lets go! I'm an animal lover, we have 2 Huskies and 3 kitties - a Bengal, Ragdoll and Chinchilla/Ragdoll, so no surprise when I saw the North Pole Mischief stamp set I was straight on my pre-order list. I coloured the kitty with Soft Suede & Crumb Cake Stampin Blends and used the Colour filter to blend so he looked like Cinder (my ragdoll) and gave him the same stunning blue eyes with Tahitian Tide. The little dog was coloured with Grey Granite, and the present is Poppy Parade, Shaded Spruce with Parakeet Party on the note. For the background I lightly used Blending Brushes with Bermuda Bay, Fresh Freesia and Balmy Blue to give a hint of a "Northern Lights" skyline. I also added a Wink of Stella to the snow for some Christmas bling. Continue through the list below to see more creations using items from the new July - December 2022 Mini Catal...
