Traditional themed Cheers to the Season

Hello crafty friends, I've had a productive morning and feel like I'm back in the swing of creating. Today I have something a little different for me, a square card and I've featured DSP! Inspired by by visit to office works where spotted some 160mm x 160mm envelopes,  I had my card size determined, all that was left was to choose an item from my Mini Catalogue pre-order......... and by process of elimination Cheers to the Season was the winner (available to purchase at my store from 6th Sept) I really like the simplicity of the images on this stamp set, making it a set to be able to grab and ink up and the images do the work for you, shading light and dark tones with no effort.  I wanted to use my In Color DSP, I thought that Cherry Cobbler would look fab with Wild Wheat as a "gold alternative". After stamping in used a matte of Cherry Cobbler and Garden Green, wrapped with Gold Trim (online exclusive) before mounting above the stripped DSP. All in all the card ...

Hello........ with Irresistible Blooms

Happy weekend crafty friends, I'm finding my way back to my creative groove after a rough couple of months, so I decided to create with a set that takes me back to what I like designing with..... flowers and the colour pink. I've had this online exclusive set for a while now and it needed some love, I heat embossed the images before adding additional colour with blending brushes to create depth. The flowers are my new favourite pink - Bubble Bath with just a touch of Berry Blast to the centre, and the flowers Soft Seafoam with ta hint of Pretty Peacock. I added 2 of the die cut circles from the Irresistible Blooms suite to lengthen the design for the slimline card, and finished with the coordinating Loose Frosted Dots. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it insp...

Color Fusers Blog Hop August 2023

Hello everyone, it's a new month, so that means it's time for the Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our creations feature Pebbled Path, Boho Blue and Misty Moonlight. I decided to utilise a design from the Countryside Inn DSP to capture the blues, and added contrast to the floral with stripes of Pebbled Path to the edge of the card. The flowers are stamped with Boho Blue using one of my favourite sets, Two-Tone Flora . Combined with elements from Darling Details and the sentiment from Love For You completed my design. I thin this combination of colours would look fabulous with just a hint of pink too - I was so tempted to add just a highlight of Bubble Bath, but I resisted and finished with the Rhinestones. All Star Earthen Elegance Class Bundle

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new bundle from the All Star Design Team. This month we are showcasing the  Earthen Elegance suite  from the Annual Catalogue. The All Star Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. Like my tutorial, I've used a colour palette that is "more me", Bubble Bath, Fresh Freesia and Orchid Oasis - pretty pastels, you don't need to limit yourself to the colours of the suite I've used the Earthen Textures dies from the suite to create the feature on my card,  embossing the background with the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder . To finish I added a Silver Elegant Trim fora touch of shimmer and bling. Earthen Elegance Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Bundle. You’ll see my teaser in the bottom left of the image.  There is more inspiration from the Team within this Blog Hop and another twelve de...

Color Fusers Blog Hop July 2023

Hello everyone, it's a new month, so that means it's time for the Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our creations will feature Azure Afternoon, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie. I thought this combination would be perfect for a fun masculine themed card, I've used the sentiment from Charming Sentiments . I've used Alcohol Inks (Stampin' Blends) on Vellum for the background - I tried a few backgrounds and picked my favourite - no 2 backgrounds will ever be the same with this technique. I worked out Pumpkin Pie didn't blend well with Azure Afternoon - things got a bit murky! The sentiment is stamped on the card front, with the vellum overlaid - I used a dauber to apply my glue sparingly before placing the vellum so as to not have any "wet marks" from the glue show through. Be sure to continue on through the rest of the Color Fusers Blog Hop by clicking the button below for lots more inspiration using this month’s colors. Next up is the amazing B...

Rainy days - Playing in the Rain

We all have them in one way or another - rainy days, it can be hail storms, or it can be more subtle, but one thing for sure when you reach out to a friend they will appreciate to hear from you. I'm playing along with the CC&S challenge this week with Playing in the Rain , I took some liberty with the colours as 2 of the colours are retired and no longer in my stash, but Bubble Bath and Old Olive do make lovely substitute. I've used a mixture of Stampin' Blends and Blending Brushes to colour my cute little rabbit, adding the clouds with Dimensionals for extra height. For the pop of colour on the left of the card I've used the 2023-2025 6x6 DSP, with a strip of Bubble Bath, just a little to make a statement but not overwhelm the design, amazing what a little bit of pattern can do to lift the look of the finished card. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used...
