Traditional Christmas colours is the theme for Merry Monday - regardless of where you celebrate Christmas reds and greens always bring along Christmas Cheer!   I chose Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive and Real Red for Debbie's challenge, and I used the beautiful Wondrous Wreath bundle:  I decided to do an Easel Card for something a bit different - I just love how it turned out.   I layered the front of the card with Old Olive and Real Red being very mindful os where my fold would be, the wreath didn't like quite right on this so I cut a circle of Very Vanilla and mounted the wreath on top of it with dimensionals, "Joy" is cut from Real Red and I used then new fine tip glue pen to adhere it.                     I used Old Olive to stamp the sentiment on Very Vanilla, and Pretty Petals DSP on a section of the base of the card - I cut a section with large framelit used to cut the wreath.  I popped the little poinsettias onto dimensionals for the top of the

It's never to early to be planning for Christmas, this was going to be a quick card using the new Flurry of Wishes stamp set available in this years SU Holiday Catalogue with MOJO412 for my inspiration. But what I first planned didn't work, too much of the large snowflake was hidden, I was so disappointed, how to use Flurry of Wishes......then my mojo kicked in and what was going to be a simple card has turned into my first "shaker" card! I have been wanting to try a shaker card for some time now, I also divided the area into sections so that the sequins would stay at the top of the card - I think it was worth the additional effort. I used Whisper White and Marina Mist cardstock.  Tip - I cut the Shaker frame using 2 framelits from the Marina Mist, saves on cardstock. I stamped the background using Marina Mist on the 2 small stamps, and Soft Sky for the medium size stamp, the sentiment is also stamped in Marina Mist.   My craft room is now also

I've been anxiously awaiting my LBB (Little Brown Box), hoping that it arrived before the weekend - It did!   When I saw Narelles sketch for FMS201 and saw the the rectangle background with the circle on top..... perfect for a porthole window to accent the nautical theme of "The Open Sea", and StampInkPaper's Tic-Tac-Toe SIP Challenge 11 was also a winner for a Masculine card, I have gone Birthday/Masculine/Blue            Moonlight DSP had a beautiful design for the feel of the ocean, I have stamped the ledger background in Pool Party and the ship in Soft Sky.  The porthole window has been cut using Framelits, then I punched 8 little holes using a  1/8" circle punch and then popped little brads in the holes - some of the brads still wanted to move so I used Dimensionals to hold them in place and mount over the top of the stamped Ship image (I cut this the same size as the outside of the porthole). The inspiration for my blog today is from Paper Players challenge #259 - I don't  usually blog during the week as I don't have much time with work commitments, but I managed to squeeze this one in! My daughter has been asking about Halloween ever since I bought a skeleton cookie cutter last weekend - when I saw the 2 circles I thought of the moon and shadows that are in so many Halloween pictures, and I went from there......... I used Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie (after all this is a Halloween card!) from the "Brights" collection.   You Little Furball is such a cute stamp set, so many combinations - I just couldn't resist using it on this card.    There is also a sneak peek of from the new SU Holiday Catalogue - not long now, its released on 1st Sept! This is an amazing milestone, though I'm sure the team at FMS have many more to come. I just want to say "congratulations" to the FMS team and thank them for pushing me to create on a regular basis - before I knew about these personal challenges I only made cards when I had a reason otherwise I found it difficult to "just make a card" for no-one in particular.   We have a lovely sketch to show our creativity this week: I used a technique that I had not done before to give the "boom - fireworks" look to the top of the card: The sentiment is from Cottage Greetings Thanks for visiting today, hope to see you again soon. I can't believe how quick time goes, I couple of weeks ago I started to get organised for upcoming events, and then this weekend it dawned on me that it is Fathers Day in 2 weeks, and my Hubby's birthday a couple of days after, and I only have 1 of 4 cards that I need completed!   Just Add Ink have a great theme " Just Add Cards for Males ", that's a great start but I'm a bit time poor and thinking that I won't get my cards done, my mind isn't focusing, this is where Mojo Monday Card Sketch MOJO411 came to the rescue! I struggle with masculine cards - I like bling way too much, so to keep something simple is quite a challenge for me.  I have used Whisper White & Pacific Point cardstock and Pretty Petals DSP. The weather was great this weekend in comparison to past weeks, so we did some lovely day trips to get out and about - so it meant that I had a little less time for my weekend crafting, but still have made my Mojo deadline even though Windows 10 & Photoshop did not want me to!   Below is the inspiration sketch from Julee. I've seen lots of nature this weekend, so looking at my new Pretty Petals DSP I decided butterflies were in order for my card: I used Very Vanilla for the base, and coordinated with Old Olive and Pacific Point, with the butterfly in Calypso Coral.  The sentiment is from Petite Pairs. Welcome, this month we are featuring the amazing Stampin' Up! "Bundles".  What an incredible product combination they are - so easy, and so versatile.  I had my eye on the Wonderful Wondrous Wreath bundle from the moment I saw it in the catalogue when I joined, after all who can say no to saving 15% when you purchase Bundled items; so when our theme for this month was announced I had the perfect reason to put my early Christmas order in!   I was pleasantly surprised at how easy inspiration came once I opened up my stamp set and framelits dies.   The  Wondrous Wreath  stamp set is photopolymer, which makes it so easy to layer colours and images, cutting is so simple to by using the framelits - I found it is easier to cut the inner part of the wreath first, then it was easier to align the stamp, then cut the outer edge of the wreath.  I've used traditional Christmas greens and red, I also used my "Simply Scored " (another ne

Hi Crafters,  It's Mojo Monday time again!  This week we have one on Julee's sketches to drive us for inspiration. In my interpretation I have changed it up a bit as I don't have a star punch or cutter. I have used 3 of the stamps from Everything Eleanor in this design.  I printed the sentiment on my computer.   I t ried something that I had not done before,  I stamped Wisteria Wonder onto Wisteria Wonder cardstock.  I think it looks lovely; not as harsh as if done in Basic Black, but a beautiful subtle tone on tone effect. I accented the flower with a little glitter, who can say no! Can you see the design is mounted on a lovely silver backing?   I have done this by cutting a normal piece of card stock and heat embossing just the edges - when you mount the rest of the card no body could ever tell! It's been a weekend of organising for me, I de-cluttered my computer area, triggered by the Windows 10 update - my printer scanner got upset and I needed assistance from Hubby to fix, but he was at work.  Anyway, its all fixed now, and I have a nice neat desk space; I really do prefer to be organised, but things just get out of control when you are busy! To keep going in the "organised" theme I thought I would to try utilise Sketches to plan for upcoming birthdays and events - I decided that I would use FMS198 for Father's Day. I have used Wild Wasabi, So Saffron & Whisper White cardstock for my card. I used a small piece of Sweet Sorbet DSP and an Argyle embossing folder with the Wild Wasabi plus some mini brads for extra dimension.  The sentiment is stamped in Sahara Sand.  I find masculine cards a bit of a challenge - so I kept it simple.  Thanks for visiting, come again soon. Mojo Monday Challenge this week is Tall & Skinny. This is the first time that I have worked from a Sketch with these dimensions, it does change how you think about your layout by not have the width that you are accustomed to. The weather was horrible yesterday; rained almost all day & night, so to make the most of my "inside" time I decided to see which challenges I could complete, this is Freshly Made Sketches 197.   Surprise, I finished a card when I could take a photo in natural light!   Here is my interpretation: I've used Wisteria Wonder from the Stampin' Up Subtles collection as the focus colour, its a lovely shade of purple.   The Cupcake builder was the inspiration for this card.  I scored the bottom of the cupcake, embossed the top and highlighted with glitter glue.
