Crazy Crafters Blog Hop August 2015: Stamp-a-stack using a Stampin' Up! Bundle

Welcome, this month we are featuring the amazing Stampin' Up! "Bundles".  What an incredible product combination they are - so easy, and so versatile.

I had my eye on the Wonderful Wondrous Wreath bundle from the moment I saw it in the catalogue when I joined, after all who can say no to saving 15% when you purchase Bundled items; so when our theme for this month was announced I had the perfect reason to put my early Christmas order in!

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy inspiration came once I opened up my stamp set and framelits dies.

The Wondrous Wreath stamp set is photopolymer, which makes it so easy to layer colours and images, cutting is so simple to by using the framelits - I found it is easier to cut the inner part of the wreath first, then it was easier to align the stamp, then cut the outer edge of the wreath.

I've used traditional Christmas greens and red, I also used my "Simply Scored " (another new toy this order) to score around the edges of the Very Vanilla layer to give a little bit more dimension than just the layering of the Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I added a some bling to the berries/cherries.

A couple of years ago a did a flip card design for a card for my daughter, the wreath isn't quite symmetrical, so this is different to a standard flip card design, it doesn't really flip but I think it is a cute variation on a standard "flat" card.  I also decided to heat emboss the 2nd layer on the wreath for a different effect.

Now to try something a little different, Pool Party and Bermuda Bay for that frosty Christmas theme, with silver heat embossed berries.  I cut the circle with framelits, this did however become a challenge as to cut 3 layers of cardstock did not play out as I hoped, cutting separately and lining up the cuts for each layer was not the easiest, so I ended up cutting the Pool Party layer the next size up so it was easier to align.

I hope you have gained some inspiration from what I have been able to do with the Wonderful Wondrous Wreath bundle.

    1. Oh wow, that is a blast from a past creation - this was early on in my Stampin' Up adventure, and I wasn't doing tutorials at this stage. Looking at the card, I think I would have done a partial cut with the die (having the big shot plate only on half of the die - hope that makes sense) then score the fold line to create the flip.

Thank you for everything Hues of Happiness

Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2024

It's time for this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Pebbled Path, Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve - perfect colours for a Mother's Day Card! I've used the new Attention Shoppers Bundle for my design - a super fun set with a mix of font and cute pictures that can be mixed and matched to be used for so many occasions. I added some InColor DSP and cut the feature circle using the online exclusive  Everyday Details Dies  - they are just amazing, I missed them being released due to being so busy at work - so take it from me, make sure you keep an eye on the Online Exclusives released each March, July and November. I decided on a "wash of colour" using Stampin' Blends then die cut with the coordinating dies. After stamping the sentiment I adhered the 3 die cut images and finished by adding a touch of bling with Silver ribbon and Basic Rhinestones. Color Fusers Blog Hop July 2024

Hello July! and welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the Black, White and a colour of our choice. Well, I just happened to have Pretty in Pink on my desk from another project, and being pink, that became the colour of my choice! I started by grabbing a blending brush and applying Pretty in Pink, then run my fingers under the tap and splattered water onto the pink - the longer you leave the water the more colour it draws out from the card stock. When the card front had dried completely I stamped the butterfly and sentiment from Sketched Butterflies , adding splatters with a Stampin Write marker and the "splatter" stamp from Layering Leaves . To finish I splattered some Wink of Stella and added some rhinestones for that touch of bling! Fancy Folds Stampers Showcase - Hues of Happiness Circle Easel Card

Hello there crafters! You are going to love today's Stamper Showcase Blog Hop - we are all featuring FUN FOLDS, I just love a fun fold, I should really do more of them! I decided to a Circle Easel Card, it's a smaller card, but I think you will agree is just super cute, and with the Hues of Happiness DSP is just Gorgeous! This card is a relatively simple for a fun fold and comes together very quickly - I think I spent more time doing the floral arrangement than the actual fun fold itself. I took advantage of being able to die cut images directly from the Hues of Happiness DSP - I love it when we can do this with DSP, and aren't the flowers just stunning! I took 3 different flowers and some foliage and arranged to fit within the Basic White Circle cut from the largest circle die in Layering Circles Dies set, and the largest scallop die is used for the coloured section of the card. To create the card base you need to fold a piece of card stock and positon the largest die slig
