I love the Owl Punch and have been waiting for the perfect reason to use it again - my parents wedding anniversary!
I have seen so many of these owls on Pinterest, I just had to give a happy couple a try. Don't you just love how you can give these cute little owls a personality all of their own by changing up there eyes and outfits using the Owl Builder Punch. I added a scalloped double frill to the little lady, and a Tuxedo collar to the man, and both have a little pink heart beating for each other. I die cut the top layer of the card to create a window for the Owls.
Do you notice something a little different with the banner from the Number of Years bundle?
I have extended it to fit the sentiment! I worked out the length of the sentiment, then used the Stamp-a-ma-jig to stamp each side using the banner stamp, lining up the top and bottom lines of the banner, then stamped the sentiment within. I cut the each end only using the framelit in the Big Shot - I did this by making sure that my top plate didn't go over the entire framelit (that way you can be sure that you don't cut where you don't want to), then trimmed the middle section with scissors.
I drew inspiration from the Global Design Project and Stamp Ink Paper for this card:
Here is the inside of the card, the owls are popper up on dimensionals to give added depth above the stamped images also from the Number of Years set - added an extra branch at the bottom and a couple flowers here and there:
