Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Dena Rekow

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, this month we have Dena Rekow joining us as special guest.  If you have never visited Dena's blog - The Creativity Cave, be sure to make you way over and you will find so many inspiring projects and tutorials.

I love Dena's touch of quirky humour in her tutorials, there is always something that puts a smile on my face. As I was scrolling through the Creativity Cave to decide what project to CASE (Copy And selectively Edit), I decided when she nailed me with her below creations - I'll admit it, I'm a DSP hoarder,.... I have every intention and so many ideas in my head, but it's just so pretty I don't want to cut into those lovely sheets!

What caught my attention with these cards was how Dena used thinlets to showcase the DSP.  Here is my take on this technique:

I faced my usual fear as I cut my It's My Party DSP! I layered onto Basic Black and Crushed Curry, the small stars are cut using one of the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits, and the larger ones from Stars Framelit Dies.  I added some shimmer with Wink of Stella, and the sentiment from Party with Cake. I also decorated the inside of the card (and used even more DSP!)

I would love it if you could pin my cards! Thank you so much Dena for your time and inspiration - I am one step closer to using DSP instead of just looking at how lovely it is! Make sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incredible ideas and creations, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments! Thank you for everything Hues of Happiness

Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my blog and YouTube channel running. Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2024

It's time for this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Pebbled Path, Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve - perfect colours for a Mother's Day Card! I've used the new Attention Shoppers Bundle for my design - a super fun set with a mix of font and cute pictures that can be mixed and matched to be used for so many occasions. I added some InColor DSP and cut the feature circle using the online exclusive  Everyday Details Dies  - they are just amazing, I missed them being released due to being so busy at work - so take it from me, make sure you keep an eye on the Online Exclusives released each March, July and November. I decided on a "wash of colour" using Stampin' Blends then die cut with the coordinating dies. After stamping the sentiment I adhered the 3 die cut images and finished by adding a touch of bling with Silver ribbon and Basic Rhinestones. Color Fusers Blog Hop July 2024

Hello July! and welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the Black, White and a colour of our choice. Well, I just happened to have Pretty in Pink on my desk from another project, and being pink, that became the colour of my choice! I started by grabbing a blending brush and applying Pretty in Pink, then run my fingers under the tap and splattered water onto the pink - the longer you leave the water the more colour it draws out from the card stock. When the card front had dried completely I stamped the butterfly and sentiment from Sketched Butterflies , adding splatters with a Stampin Write marker and the "splatter" stamp from Layering Leaves . To finish I splattered some Wink of Stella and added some rhinestones for that touch of bling! Fancy Folds Stampers Showcase - Hues of Happiness Circle Easel Card

Hello there crafters! You are going to love today's Stamper Showcase Blog Hop - we are all featuring FUN FOLDS, I just love a fun fold, I should really do more of them! I decided to a Circle Easel Card, it's a smaller card, but I think you will agree is just super cute, and with the Hues of Happiness DSP is just Gorgeous! This card is a relatively simple for a fun fold and comes together very quickly - I think I spent more time doing the floral arrangement than the actual fun fold itself. I took advantage of being able to die cut images directly from the Hues of Happiness DSP - I love it when we can do this with DSP, and aren't the flowers just stunning! I took 3 different flowers and some foliage and arranged to fit within the Basic White Circle cut from the largest circle die in Layering Circles Dies set, and the largest scallop die is used for the coloured section of the card. To create the card base you need to fold a piece of card stock and positon the largest die slig
