Birthday Blast for a special grandfather

Today 's card is very special to me, my daughter and I worked together with this creation for her grandfather - I'm so proud of her, she decided on design and colours for this card. The first thing that my daughter wanted to use was the Star Blast framelits , she liked the effect of the shooting stars - a bit like fireworks! She also liked the matching stamp set Birthday Blast for extra stars and swirls as well as the birthday sentiment. Next she decided on the colours - she like the dark blue of Dapper Denim and the bright Bermuda Bay, I suggested Pool Party to go with them and she said "that's epic" I set up the Bigshot sandwich for her and she cranked it through and cut them out.  Remember to keep the stars that are cut too, as you can see she used them to decorate the card.  I helped with the stamping, layering and gluing of the framelits. Once these parts were in place she added the stars, and there you have it - our card for he

Lift Me Up | #WWYS104

Welcome to What Will You Stamp?  This week we are creating with the Lift Me Up stamp set from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue (Pg 10) I have found this set to be great for masculine cards - something I normally struggle with, but it's been a breeze using the Lift Me Up Bundle - the framelits are just amazing to create the detailed balloon, and the clouds.... wow so many uses for them with other stamp sets (I used the clouds in last's weeks Moon Baby card) I've made quite a few cards with his set now, so I changed things up and made a z-fold card for this weeks showcase, here it is! The balloons and clouds work perfectly with the sloping z-fold, her is another angle of the card And that DSP... it's a Sale-a-Bration freebie that co-ordinates perfectly with the Lift me up set! To see all the great projects from the Design Team click here , we would love you to participate in weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? why not play along

Beautiful You | Brighter Days

I've inked up a new stamp set for you to see today, Beautiful You from the Occasions catalogue. If you like the look and feel of watercolour you may just possibly fall in love with this set! I was struggling with what to create today as I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I cruised challenges I have drawn inspiration from these 2 challenges for my card:        Here is what I have created combining the challenges: I heard some unexpected sad news from a close friend yesterday, so when I saw this sentiment it fitted perfectly. I stamped my image on watercolour paper and cut with the Stiched Framelets (back in stock now - YAY), then used Aqua painters to colour - my Soft Suede ink bled a little, but I really like the "aged" effect this gives, so I continued that theme through the rest of the card by sponging the edges of the cardstock. Beautiful You has a number of lovely sketched images and multiple sentiments, I can't wait to create w

Hey Chick! Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Georgia Giguere

Welcome to our Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Georgia Giguere, the first thing that I notice when visiting Stampin' Georgia is chickens, then I saw this project: That was all the inspiration I needed to break open my Sale-A-Bration Hey Chick stamp set, here is what I have created: This fuzzy headed chicken is my favourite, such a cheeky look! I stamped and coloured with watercolour pencils  and a Blender Pen  then fussy cut.  The Hardwood stamp is a fantastic background stamp, I've used Early Espresso on Cherry Cobbler for my wood panel and cut a square to create a window and added some mesh fabric to create wire (I got the idea after seeing Tulle window cards made by Jennifer McQuire).  The Banners for You bundle was just perfect to fit the "hey, chick!" sentiment, and then I added a little Linen Thread . Here is a close up of the mesh panel: Be sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incre

Lift your Spirits | International Blog Highlight

Welcome to our International Blog Highlight for the month of February, the theme this month is "Get Well Soon".  I know when you are not feeling the best it is just lovely to receive unexpected mail from someone - it puts a smile on your face and warm your heart. I've given my Lift Me Up bundle a work out for this card, and also made use a Sale- A-Bration freebie, the Carried Away DSP - love how these products co-ordinate! Here's another view of my "skyline" I do love a fun fold, I love how they create an extra WOW factor in a card. My card is based on an Easel card, and instead of a full panel I fussy cut the DSP for the mountains, then added the balloons and cards.  Best thing is that these cards fold flat to a normal card size for postage to your special friend. I would love if you could take the time to vote for my card at Kylie Bertucci's host page for this blog highlight,- The top ten winners will get to be

Moon Baby | #WWYS103

Welcome to this week's What Will You Stamp?  This week we are creating with the adorable Moon Baby stamp set from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue (Pg 17) This set features 3 lovely feature stamps plus stars and sentiments - they can be used in so many different ways to create that perfect card for a new born or baby shower. For this weeks showcase I have stepped things up a bit and created a slider card: I stamped and clear embossed the image of my Umbrella Baby, then water coloured, I also added some Wink of Stella to the Umbrella. I cut the clouds using the Up & Away thinlets  and embossed the little hearts by using the Falling Petals Embossing folder - both also from Occasions Catalogue - there are so many beautiful items in this catalogue! I created the rainbow using the Sliding Star framelits  cutting each colour then layering and placing just above the "slider cut" on the Whisper White. I've applied a generous amount of Wink of Ste

Balloon Adventures Shaker - Happy 18th!

I love a shaker card, and I had the perfect reason to create this one! Happy 18th Cooper! The Balloon Pop-Up die can be used as it's name suggests - for a pop up in the middle of a card, but also makes a great panel that can be used for a shaker card; I "modified" the die cut removing the balloons so that I could add 18 to my card - Number of Years is such a great set to have on hand to be able to make a card for a specific occasion. As you can see it is the perfect panel to create a shaker card! I fussy cut the "Party On!" banner and mounted using dimensionals. I also stamped the inside of the card Both the Balloon Pop-Up thinlets and Balloon Adventures stamp set are part of the Party Animal product suite - it is such a fun and colourful suite! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project.  I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do  Click Here . You ca

So Detailed | Suite Sentiments | International Top 10 Blog Hop

Thank you for voting for my project in Kylie's International Highlights Blog Hop - I was voted in the Top 10 so have the honour of celebrating with this Hop! Today my project features 2 items from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue, the gorgeous So Detailed Thinlets and a sentiment from Suite Sentiments which hosts a variety of sentiments for many occasions. How beautiful is this delicate die cut! It creates a statement all on it's own, no need for additional stamping. When cut it has a thin solid layer, I have hidden it with my ribbon embellishment - and I faced my "bow fear" and added a gorgeous satin ribbon bow to my card (rather proud of myself), I think it looks just perfect :) The sentiment is complimented with an Oval Stitched framelit set on a scalloped oval die cut on top of the detailed thinlet - This card came together beautifully! I dressed up the inside of the card with some simple stamping from the So in Love set too.
