Welcome to today's Crazy Crafter's Blog Hop. We have Danielle Kassing from the Netherland joining us today as special guest, and I am sure you are in for some amazing creations featuring items for the NEW 2018-2019 catalogue - it's such an exciting time!
Our task is to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit) one of Danielle's creations, I chose the below card, I was fascinated with the use of a window sheet for stamping!
I was inspired to go outside "my square" and using Vellum as a medium for my project - I've not used vellum much, it scares me a little! I decided I would dry emboss vellum.
I used the same Big Shot sandwich as I would normally use, I crossed my fingers as I ran it through and it worked! Now I was feeling adventurous, and decided to Heat Emboss the sentiment form Flourishing Phrases (not my original plan as I have melted vellum in the past), I used the lower heat setting on my Heat Tool, and heated from underneath not the top.
To darken/whiten the embossed image a little more I used a white Watercolour Pencil on the back of the vellum, it worked a treat. I layered the vellum onto Petal Pink and put coordinating Artisan Pears in each corner.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, it's always such a pleasure to have you join me! I hope you'll keep on hopping along with me as I visit all the Crazy Crafters on the list below to see what gorgeous creations they have for you.
