I was particularly inspired by Jen Mitchells creation, so much so that I reached for Crushed Curry (so not one of my "go to" colours, here's my project:
Continuing with my personal DSP challenge for July, I used a super cute image from the Animal Expedition Designer Series paper in this card.
The sentiment frame is stamped using the Around the Corner set - it's photopolymner, super easy to line up with the corner of your cardstock to stamp. I just couldn't resist adding the triangular edging from the Delicate Lace Edgelits.
I ended up with a large area of "yellow space" - the card needed something more (could just be that I am not at ease with "yellows"), I decided to run the diagonal layer through the BigShot with the Subtle embossing folder, adding that touch of texture really made a difference!
Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more projects using Designer Series paper this month - why not take advantage of the Buy 3 Get 1 Free promotion and create with me?

This is such a cute card. I love the layout and the crushed curry with the black lacey accent. The croc is so cool and I love the corner stamps used on the white. Just a lovely card.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirlie, there is something about that croc that is too hard to resist, I just had to cut into that paper!
