Congratulations with Inspired Events for Kylie Bertucci's International Highlights

Hello and welcome to this months International Highlights hosted by Kylie Bertucci. Our theme this month is all about Congratulations. After all, there are so many things to celebrate friends that have had a baby or got married, even a new house, or job promotion. There are many things to Congratulate our friends and family on.

I've used the Inspired Events stamp set for my creation today, this set is full of lots of events that we celebrate:

As you can see from above, this set is great for specific occasions, and I adore the corner images and the background stamp, such pretty details.

I decided to create a general "congratulations" card, I stamped the flowers in Gorgeous Grape, and filled with Highland Heather, then fussy cut.  I laid a little Granny Apple Green onto watercolour paper with an aqua painter and edged with Coastal Cabana.

I used the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background, to make the texture pop I lightly sponged with coordinating colours, and stamped with the little dots from Inspired Events. A little bling with Silver Metallic Thread under the Silver embossed sentiment banner finished the floral arrangement - I do love these new purples, so vibrant and pretty.

I would love if you could take the time to vote for my card at Kylie Bertucci's host page for this blog highlight,- The top ten winners will get to be part of an international blog hop so please vote for my project. You can do that by clicking on the icon below:

Thinking of Botanical Butterflies | Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with Wendy Cranford

Welcome to our Crazy Crafters Blog hop with special guest Wendy Cranford for the USA. Wendy is a super talented crafter,  you may be familiar with her blog Luvin Stampin, it's full of amazing projects that are bound to inspire you.
As a Crazy Crafter, our task is to CASE (copy and selectively edit) one of Cathy's creations, I decided on the below card, I just adored the simple lay out.

Like Wendy, I've made use of the beautiful Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper - it's just gorgeous.... and can be yours FREE with a qualifying purchase during Sale-A-Bration, here's my Wendy inspired creation:

I was taken by the delicate detail of this imagery, I paired up with stitched scallop edge from the Be Mine framelits - I can't believe that I missed this framelit when I first looked at the set - I must have been too excited by all the hearts. To add height to my scalloped layers I added a layer of corrugated embossed cardstock.

The sentiment is from Climbing Roses, and…

Floating away with Tropical Chic

How quickly time goes by, it's another All Star Tutorial blog hop already! I'm always looking for new techniques and ideas, and follow a number of paper crafters -there is always so much to learn and seeing one project can open up inspiration for another.

Have you ever seen a project and just had to give it a try? My creation today is a inspired by all the Floating Frame cards I have been seeing, I just had to make one,.. but I was soon to discover that it wasn't going to be easy, search as I did, the wonderful Press & Seal still remains illusive to me here in Australia, whilst there is a Costco in Adelaide, it's a long drive so we don't have a membership, likewise the online options I located are just not cost effective, so I came up with an alternative approach for my card - my solution = a floating card front!

The first phase was to find a stamp set with medium to large die cuts, I opted for my one of my favorite sets, Tropical Chic, then to stamp and die cut …

Delicate Lace with Magnolia Lane

Well hello Saturday! What a long week that was, so happy to creative today, it feels like it's been ages! To get me in the mood I went to my favourite challenge blogs for some inspiration, and I chose this sketch:

For today's creation I've mixed some old with the new - Delicate Lace edge dies with Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper. I decided to turn the sketch on the side, it seemed to show of the lovely flowers better.

This DSP is just gorgeous, a mix of floral and stripes all using a beautiful colour palette - yes, it did have me with pink, but honestly if you replaced pink with a purple or yellow it would still be an amazing DSP.

Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. If you live in Australia and don't already have a demonstrator I'd love love to be yours.
