Beautiful Snowflake Water Washed background

Welcome to todays Crazy Crafter Special Guest Blog Hop, we have the great pleasure to be CASEing Jenny Hall from the United States, Jenny is so creative, and has lots of video tutorials of her amazing creations on her blog, Jenny Hall Design.

It was difficult to decide which of Jenny's creations to CASE (Copy and Selectively Edit), I finally decided on the below....

I've always love the look of watercolour washes, but.... they scare me - with watercolour there is an element that you are not able to control, and you just have to let go.  I've been doing more with watercolour of late, so if you are like me and are scared by watercolours, please give it a go, you will be surprised with the beautiful backgrounds you can create.

Blueberry Bushel, Flirty Flamingo and Highland Heather were used for the water wash, one of the beauties of water colours that I've discovered is that they start out pastel, and you can build colour as you go.

The feature element comes from the upcoming limited time Snow is Glistening stamp set and the coordinating Snowfall Thinlets, I just had to have the pre-order, you can purchase this set from November 1st, or if you can't wait it can be part of your starter kit when your join.

To stamp your snowflake image multiple colours just apply your ink with Sponge Daubers, I started with the Powder Pink, then Highland Heather and Balmy Blue in the centre. I also sponged the sentiment, changing out Balmy Blue for Blueberry Bushel. Lastly for some bling, a little Rose Metallic Thread under the Powder Pink snowflake die cut, and some Artisan Pearls.

Grap a cuppa and work your way through the list below to see all the amazing creations  inspired by Jenny, I can't wait to see what the rest of the team has to show you, don't miss out on any of these blog posts today as I know you are going to get so much inspiration! Thank you for everything Hues of Happiness

Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. Endless Birthday Wishes | WWYS#65

It's Monday, so that means there is a fresh What Will You Stamp? challenge.  This week we are showcasing Endless Birthday Wishes.   I adore the font in this set, and the cake is just too cute!  I've used Washi Tape from the It's my Party range on the edge of my raised layers, and stamped the sentiment on the base of the card. I used aqua painters to colour the cake and cut used the new layering square framelits (available in the 2016-2017 Catalogue), how delicate is the scalloped edge? Just gorgeous! Whilst I went with a traditional sentiment for my card; this set has truly endless possibilities in terms of creating you own special message - how amazing is that!  Click below to see all the inspiring creations from the Design Team, we would love you to join in the fun too!  How many different sentiments can you come up with? Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email...

Fancy Folds Stampers Showcase - Hues of Happiness Circle Easel Card

Hello there crafters! You are going to love today's Stamper Showcase Blog Hop - we are all featuring FUN FOLDS, I just love a fun fold, I should really do more of them! I decided to a Circle Easel Card, it's a smaller card, but I think you will agree is just super cute, and with the Hues of Happiness DSP is just Gorgeous! This card is a relatively simple for a fun fold and comes together very quickly - I think I spent more time doing the floral arrangement than the actual fun fold itself. I took advantage of being able to die cut images directly from the Hues of Happiness DSP - I love it when we can do this with DSP, and aren't the flowers just stunning! I took 3 different flowers and some foliage and arranged to fit within the Basic White Circle cut from the largest circle die in Layering Circles Dies set, and the largest scallop die is used for the coloured section of the card. To create the card base you need to fold a piece of card stock and positon the largest die slig...

Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2024

It's time for this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Pebbled Path, Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve - perfect colours for a Mother's Day Card! I've used the new Attention Shoppers Bundle for my design - a super fun set with a mix of font and cute pictures that can be mixed and matched to be used for so many occasions. I added some InColor DSP and cut the feature circle using the online exclusive  Everyday Details Dies  - they are just amazing, I missed them being released due to being so busy at work - so take it from me, make sure you keep an eye on the Online Exclusives released each March, July and November. I decided on a "wash of colour" using Stampin' Blends then die cut with the coordinating dies. After stamping the sentiment I adhered the 3 die cut images and finished by adding a touch of bling with Silver ribbon and Basic Rhinestones. Color Fusers Blog Hop November 2024

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the some old favorites of mine - Berry Burst, Azure Afternoon and Fresh Freesia. My creation was inspired by the fact that we had our Christmas Pageant this weekend, and that I love making Christmas cards in non traditional colours. I started by blending our featured colours in the bottom right of the card front, then I "flicked" with some water and let dry before heat embossing the sentiment from the Decorative Trees bundle. This bundle has a variety of tree dies, I chose the one with snowflakes and adhered over the blended colours, to finish I added some rhinestones for that special sparkle that Christmas brings.
