How quickly time goes by, it's another All Star Tutorial blog hop already! I'm always looking for new techniques and ideas, and follow a number of paper crafters -there is always so much to learn and seeing one project can open up inspiration for another.
Have you ever seen a project and just had to give it a try? My creation today is a inspired by all the Floating Frame cards I have been seeing, I just had to make one,.. but I was soon to discover that it wasn't going to be easy, search as I did, the wonderful Press & Seal still remains illusive to me here in Australia, whilst there is a Costco in Adelaide, it's a long drive so we don't have a membership, likewise the online options I located are just not cost effective, so I came up with an alternative approach for my card - my solution = a floating card front!
The first phase was to find a stamp set with medium to large die cuts, I opted for my one of my favorite sets, Tropical Chic, then to stamp and die cut lots of images.
Next, as I won't be able to hold the die cuts in place with Press & Seal, I created clusters of the die cuts (arranging them on a card base) and adhered together (but not to the card base).
I hope you've enjoyed my creation, be sure to work your way through the list below to see all the amazing creations from the All Stars team, don't miss out on any of these blog posts today as I know you are going to get inspiration! You are currently visiting Sue Vine at MissPinksCraftSpot

ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely card. And I really appreciate the photo showing it coming together.
ReplyDeleteLovely Aussie take. Had same problem with justifying the purchase of the Press and Seal, especially as a non SU product so I love your take.
ReplyDeleteI'm a Queenslander so double love with this set.
Beautiful card! I love the colors and the skillful way you blended them. Great, great job!
