"Happy Fall Y'all" Stampers Showcase Blog Hop

Welcome to this month's Stampers Showcase Blog hop, celebrating the change of season in the northern hemisphere with the theme of "Happy Fall Y'all". This hop was a two level challenge for me, 1. we don't really "get into" autumn here in Australia, and 2. fall colours are not my "go to", I'm more of a pink and floral kinda gal. After much contemplation I decided to do watercolor stamping. I used dauber to apply a mixture of colours to the solid leaf stamps, then spritzed the water colour paper and the ink on the stamp, then stamped, then repeated until all the leaves were done, then let dry.  Next I tore scrap paper to mask the leaves then stamped the Birch background and sponged the edges before "roughing them up with scissors, I also added some splatters of colour with an aqua painter.  Lastly adding some die cut branches behind the sentiment from Accented blooms. Next on the hop is Deb Naylor , click...

Not so Traditional Tidings All Around

I've always had a bit of a thing for Christmas Wreaths, so the Tidings All Around Bundle was a must for me, and when I saw this weeks Global Design Case the Designer Challenge I had the perfect reason to get inky. I felt the need for some pink when making this card, so I choose non-traditional Christmas Colours of Blushing Bride & Crumb Cake (one of my favourite "pink combos". I started by drawing a circle on the card front with a pencil that matched the size of the middle of the die cut, then I stamped the foliage around the circle, first in Crumb Cake and then few in Blushing Bride. The sentiment is stamped with Golden Glitz Delicata Ink. Before adhering the die cuts I "splashed" them with a little Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint for a touch of bling, then carefully placed Mini Dimensionals on the back of the pink layer to raise it slightly from the Crumb Cake layer before gluing to the card base. I created my bow with Lined T...

Ink It! Stamp It! 3D style

It's the last Friday of the month, that means it's Ink it! Stamp it! time again. This month we are sharing 3D themed inspiration, and I decided to give some Origami a go! I'm over the moon with my 5 pointed Origami Star - I was apprehensive at first as to how long this creation would take, but after my "test run" with plain paper I actually made this star in a jiffy. I made the star using a 6 x 6 inch piece of Pressed Petals Designer Series Paper, which means I can get 4 stars out of one sheet. The finished star measures 9 cm/3.5 inches from one star point across to another. I'm still deciding if I will add some Shimmer Paint for sparkle, I think I will see how it looks on the tree first, and I add if I choose too :) Be sure to visit all the team in the list below and see their wonderful 3D, you are currently visiting Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot, to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next. Be Mine Happily Ever After with Forever Lovely

What a coincidence... it just happens to be my Wedding Anniversary this week and look at the Global Design Project theme: And to help me along the way with my layout, I used this weeks Freshly Made Sketches too: And here is my creation using the Be Mine Stitched Dies and sentiment from Forever Lovely - both just perfect for Engagements, Weddings & Anniversaries. I used Lovely Lipstick and Whisper White only, embossing the card base with the Subtle folder twice, turning it 90 degrees for the 2nd pass through the Big Shot.  A little fussy cutting with the small hearts die cut meant I could spread the hearts further and overlap onto the large sentiment heart too.  For my touch of bling I added Shimmery Crystal Effects to the upper heart.  Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below.  Hovering over the product name and clicking...
