Sending Smiles with Perfectly Penciled

Happy weekend crafty friends! I finally manged some crafty time in what has been a busy and productive week. I've had the Perfectly Penciled DSP for a while now and decided that it was time to cut into it and share with you, I've used the stripes and a fussy cut floral arrangement in today's design. Some days I just don't have the patience to fussy cut, but today it was exactly what I needed - taking time to myself and immersing in the cut and turn movement was so relaxing. I love the effect of a pop of colour on an otherwise black and white design, and you know me - that pop would be PINK! I used the scalloped edge from the Penned Flowers dies with Polished Pink, the delicate stitching in the die cut adding to the effect of the card. For a touch of shine and bling I added the Sale-a-Bration Silver and Gold Specialty Paper behind the flowers, and added a silver embossed and die cut sentiment from the Sending Smiles Bundle , and a cute little bow with Elegant Trim . Banner up with Full of Love

Hello crafty friends, I was stuck for ideas, so visited my Pinterest board with card sketches for this design. I started by stamping image and image from Full of Love o n Basic White cardstock with Memento Black ink, then coloured with Stampin’ Blends - Mossy Meadow, Calypso Coral, Polished Pink, So Saffron and Cherry Cobbler.  I cut the coloured image using the largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies set , cut Calypso Coral with the long wide banner. I cut and created the large banner in Mossy Meadow. Here's what I did behind the scenes with the banner: I added the circle image using Dimensionals, and to finish added 3 Basic Rhinestone Jewels for at touch of Bling. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month. I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I truly appreciate your support, it inspires me to keep crafting and helps to keep my bl...

He's the Man with the All Star Tutorial Team

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new All Star Tutorial. This month we are showcasing the  He's the Man suite  from the Annual Catalogue. The All Star Tutorial Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. My card today is a "no stamp" card, I've utilised the "pop out" elements in the He's a Man Designer Series Paper pack for my sentiment. I deliberately kept the design simple, choose coordinating patterns of DSP and layered Cajun Craze, Mango Melody and Early Espresso crating a raised edge on the left hand side of the card. I popped the Vintage Car element and sentiment from the DSP sheet, then cut the sentiment in half so I could position above and below the car.  He's the Man Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Tutorial Bundle. You’ll see my teaser in the bottom left of the image.  There is more inspiration f...

Color Fusers Blog Hop August 2022

Hello crafters, welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Mint Macaron, Pacific Point, Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow. I received an order this week and have been wanting to use the Perfectly Penciled DSP , so that was my starting point. I thought about colouring the images on the DSP with Stampin' Blends, but decided not to and let black and white be a feature of the card. I added stripes of Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow to either side of the DSP and adhered to the card base. Next I cut a circle of Mint Macron and overlaid with a Scalloped Circle of Vellum, and stamped and cut the sentiment using the Sending Smiles bundle, bringing in Pacific Point to complete the colour challenge. But I needed another element, and when I scanned through my stamp sets decided that a Butterfly Brilliance die cut would do the trick. To finish I added some Simply Elegant Gold Trim and Brushed Metallic Dots, the pop of gold adding just the right...

Sending Sunshine to Brighten Your Day

Hello crafty friends, today is Share it Sunday, and what I love most about this blog hop is "anything goes".  Its been a while since I made a slimline card, and I've recently received my order with the Rays of Light background stamp..... that was my starting point for today's card. I used the Stamparatus to apply Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Fresh Freesia to the background stamp - I used a dauber, applying one colour at a time, and restamping if I wanted a deeper colour. As I stamped, my thoughts were "why was this stamp not on my first wish list?", I am totally in love with it! Because I had chosen a slimline style card, the stamp didn't cover the entire length of the card, so I decided to add a layer of clouds to the top and bottom of the card using a Basic Border die. I stamped the sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set and clear embossed "sunshine to brighten your day" before die cutting the cloud edge and mounting with Dimen...
