All Star Design Team - Regal Winter

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new bundle from the All Star Design Team. This month we are showcasing the Regal Winter suite. The All Star Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. I decided to create a pastel slimline card share that this suite is not limited to the darker bolder colours in the DSP. I've used Fresh Freesia and Bubble Bath for the flowers and Soft Sea Foam for the foliage. For the background I lightly blended Pool Party before adhering the intricate die cuts to the top and bottom, then built the floral arrangement on top. I sentiment is Soft Sea Foam on Soft Sea Foam, and for that touch of bling Iridescent Pearls were perfect for my colour combination. Regal Winter Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Bundle. You’ll see my teaser in the bottom left of the image.  There is more inspiration from the Team within this Blog H...

Color Fusers Blog Hop December 2024

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring Misty Moonlight, Shaded Spruce and oldy but a goody Melon Mambo - I've so neglected this colour of late. I decided to create a different take on last months design - firstly by changing up to a horizontal slimline layout, and secondly to contain the colouring to within the trees. I can't get enough of the Decorative Trees bundle, I adore all the variations of "inner" tree! Did you know that you can use the "solid tree" die cut to underlay the patterned trees, whist there are big and small tree designs, if you lay the solid tree at the top the tree lines up perfectly and all you need to do is trim off the bottom section. I blended our colours onto basic white, the cut the solid trees then overlaid with 3 different designs. On the card front I blended a light layer Misty Moonlight to the top and bottom before hand cutting the "snow fields" and adhering. Next I hea...

Color Fusers Blog Hop November 2024

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the some old favorites of mine - Berry Burst, Azure Afternoon and Fresh Freesia. My creation was inspired by the fact that we had our Christmas Pageant this weekend, and that I love making Christmas cards in non traditional colours. I started by blending our featured colours in the bottom right of the card front, then I "flicked" with some water and let dry before heat embossing the sentiment from the Decorative Trees bundle. This bundle has a variety of tree dies, I chose the one with snowflakes and adhered over the blended colours, to finish I added some rhinestones for that special sparkle that Christmas brings. All Star Design Team - Mediterranean Blooms

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new bundle from the All Star Design Team. This month we are showcasing the Mediterranean Blooms suite. The All Star Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. I used the masking technique to stamp down the edge of the card front, one of my favourite techniques as it can give a totally different look to a stamped design when it is overlaid multiple times to cover a larger space on your card than just simply stamping. I decided to do a "wash of colour" using watercolour pencils for todays design as my previous projects have had quite vivid colouring, I like to think of it as "less is more". To fill the fruit I lightly applied ink to a blending brush and lightly applied. After stamping the sentiment I added a little bling with rhinestones, and I was done - I was surprised how quickly this card came together. Mediterranean Blooms...

Color Fusers Blog Hop August 2024

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the prettty pastels, Lemon Lolly, Bubble Bath and Fresh Freesia - totally in my groove with these colours! I used the Around the Bend Dies to die cut the images from card stock of our colours. To create the base for the arrangement, I cut 2 circles using the largest Everyday Detail Dies , overlapped and offset so Lemon Lolly would show though to give some subtle colour and pull the foliage elements together. I chose the sentiment based on the font,  Friends for Life  has a beautiful collection of varied fonts and sizes. I silver embossed, and to finish I added some rhinestone bling - it's my thing! Color Fusers Blog Hop July 2024

Hello July! and welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the Black, White and a colour of our choice. Well, I just happened to have Pretty in Pink on my desk from another project, and being pink, that became the colour of my choice! I started by grabbing a blending brush and applying Pretty in Pink, then run my fingers under the tap and splattered water onto the pink - the longer you leave the water the more colour it draws out from the card stock. When the card front had dried completely I stamped the butterfly and sentiment from Sketched Butterflies , adding splatters with a Stampin Write marker and the "splatter" stamp from Layering Leaves . To finish I splattered some Wink of Stella and added some rhinestones for that touch of bling! All Star Design Team - Take to the Sky

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new bundle from the All Star Design Team. This month we are showcasing the  Take to the Sky suite  from the new Annual Catalogue. The All Star Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. This suite leans towards masculine themed cards (my nemesis) so it has been a personal challenge to create with this suite, so what do I do when I'm stuck for ideas? I search Pinterest, where I saw some cards using the Perennial Postage Dies, and since I have all this gorgeous coordinating DSP I also channelled Kylie with #loveitchopit for inspiration. I am sooooo happy with the finished card! It really came to life when I added the DSP base (thank you to my inner Kylie!). My Dad will love this card, he has been an avid stamp collector since childhood. Take to the Sky Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Bundle. You’ll s...
