Beautiful Butterflies - I'm here

Hello crafty friends, it's been a lovely cool weekend in comparison to past weeks, and I was lucky to have the house to myself this morning and felt the need to get inky. I was sorting through my desk, and saw my Beautiful Butterflies Bundle , no need to look further, this is one of my favourite sets from the mini catalogue. The suite has gorgeous Beautiful Bokeh DSP and coordinating Itty Bitty Bokeh Mix , so me and my need for bling decided I just had to incorporate the Bokeh Mix into my slimline design.  I used a Blending Brush with Blueberry Bushel, Gorgeous Grape and Berry Burst, then splattered the card base with water - this is one of my "go to" techniques lately and works perfectly when adding lots of bling as with today's card. I die cut the butterflies from Thick Basic White cardstock and adhered, the added the Bokeh Mix for that touch of bling that I adore. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and...

All Star Video Class Bundle Tutorial - Storybook Moments

Hello crafters, a new month, means a new bundle from the All Star Design Team. This month we are showcasing the Storybook Moments suite. The All Star Design Team not only design a Tutorial Project that’s exclusive but we also each design an additional project to share here for further inspiration. This suite is super cute, I would call it "old style design theme", it brought me back to my childhood the moment I saw it.... wait did I just call myself old? I've coloured images from the bundle with Stampin Blends then die cut or in the case of the stone wall and background fussy cut, then created my "Easter Friends" scene. The embossed Crumb Cake background is the Sale-a-Bration is the Starstruck Embossing Folder, and I added a bow with co-ordinating Bakers Twine. Storybook Moments Inspiration Below is a sneak peek of what’s in store with this month’s Bundle. You’ll see my teaser in the bottom left of the image.  There is more inspiration from the Team within this ...

Color Fusers Blog Hop February 2025

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we have pretty pastels Bubble Bath and Soft Sea Foam with a pop of colour being Costal Cabana.. I went back to one of my Annual Catalogue favourites for this card - Layers of Beauty.  This is a versatile bundle as it includes the Decorative Masks, which make for a simply gorgeous water colour effect. Being the middle of summer and over 40 ° C degrees (104 ° F) most of my flowers are looking a little "crispy", so wanting to see some fresh flowers. I stamped my outline in Soft Sea Foam and added a touch of Coastal Cabana on the end of the flowers for newly blossomed blooms, to my surprise this gave my card a hint of a vintage colouring. After die cutting the arrangement, I cut in half and trimmed a segment of mini blooms so that I could extend the images top to bottom, using dimensions to adhere to the card front. To finish I added a Gold Embossed sentiment and some Gold Twisted Thread. Continue on through t...

Hello with Beautiful Butterflies

Hello, crafty friends, can you believe that January is almost past us by? Where does time go? Inspiration for my card today was from a much cooler day during my 8-4 working week where I realised I was listening to the birds outside my study window and glance out and saw a beautiful butterfly in the garden. I've used the Beautiful Butterflies bundle, which includes stamp set, dies and 3D embossing folder. You can use the embossing folder as a background and selected die cuts also fit into the images in the folder - like my large colourful butterfly, I love these multi purpose folders, so many options to make gorgeous cards! I've used both embossed (background) and de-bossed (feature butterfly in this design..... it may have been a slight oversight/accident, but never the less I'm more than happy with the result. Before cutting the feature I used blending brushes to apply Crumb Cake, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight, and then flick water over the colouring, then I die cut a...
