Welcome to another week of What Will You Stamp? This week we are showcasing one of the Sale-A-Bration FREE items, the gorgeous Lovely Lattice, just look at all that beautiful detail!
This was the first SAB item on my list, I immediately fell in love with the intricate detail of the lattice, and I do have a thing for florals. Whilst I love the design, I wanted to try something different, I wasn't in the fussy cutting mood,... so I went a little bit "out of the square" with my design.... one could say I'm was on the edge hahah!
Well what do you think! I'm pleasantly surprised at how different the arrangement looks when the focus isn't about the lattice work.
I've used Stampin' Blends to add the colour, but you could also use watercolour pencils, or ink with an Aqua Painter or Blender Pen - endless possibilities. The Sentiment is from the Incredible Like You Stamp set, and of course I added a little bling :) I do love the Artisan Pearls
Pop over and view the all projects created with this set by the Design Team, we would love you to participate in our weekly challenges at What Will You Stamp? why not play along with this week - We'd love to see what you create!

A lovely card Sue, I never thought to use that large image for a border.
ReplyDeleteIt creates an entirely different look, I hardly recognise the stamp as lovely lattice!
DeleteI LOVE your card and how you used that image; super pretty and creative! Thank you for sharing and inspiring!! :) Cheers, Donna (fellow demo)
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna :)
DeleteJust beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteThank you :)
DeleteOK Sue, you have got me intrigued. A beginner stamper here. OK - how did you not get the lattice stamped onto your card (just the flowers) - that square image on the right hand side of the stamp - the top oval bit. Sorry, don't think I am explaining myself. I "dislike" that stamp because of the top right hand bit - the lattice part, but now I see your card and I love love love the stamp set. Gosh I hope you understand what I am meaning. HELP.......
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, I step my desk up with scrap paper under my card front, then stamped the "more floral part" of the image on the edge of the cardstock, the "lattice" part stamped onto the scrap, then I repeated the process a 2nd time turning the stamp slightly.
DeleteI love the colours and your creative use of the lattice stamp. Wow!
ReplyDeleteCheers Susie
DeleteWhat a creative way to use that stamp. Just love it. You do such a great job and I'm thankful you share with us. Thanks again for the wonderful inspiration.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Pam, sharing is half the fun of creating :)
DeleteLovely card, love the coloring and the gold dots. A very clean and simple but very effective card. I have never thought of using these detailed stamps for borders. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome Sherlie - stamping has no limits, its fun to stamp "out of the square" and see how different stamps can look
DeleteOh Sue, I would never have thought of that. Thank you for settling this for me. I really do now like the stamp set and shall copy your idea if you don't mind. I appreciate your help.
