Miss Pinks Craft Spot

Welcome back, after a lovely day spent in the Mt Lofty botanical gardens last weekend I am feeling in touch with nature with the amazing Botanical Blooms Bundle When I saw the colour challenge at The Paper Players and the theme for the Global Design Project I immediately drew from the inspiration of the autumn colours of the Botanical Gardens   I've used Sponge Daubers to add colour the flowers, I mixed and matched Melon Mambo and Pumpkin Pie, and oh  my, how amazing is the result - the flowers are so intense and bursting with colour.  The veins on the flowers are added using an Aqua Painter . I also cut some of the leaves from Pumpkin Pie and stamped and sponged with Mossy Meadow to get a lovely autumn hue for the leaves, also adding sponging to the larger leaves cut from Mossy Meadow and used my Bone Folder  to curl the petals and leaves to give added depth and dimension. Peek-a-boo something new with Friends & Flowers, this set is just so cute!   I've combined 2 challenges this weekend for this card, the sketch by Teneale Williams from Global Design for the card layout:  and the colour inspiration from Fab Friday: The pod baby is from Friends & Flowers  set and paired with Suite Sayings  it makes a perfect welcome for a new baby.    I used the Squares Collection Framelits Dies  to cut the scalloped trim, love how this turned out! I must remember that the largest of these framelits has the scalloped trim, it just adds that something extra. I've used an Aqua Painter  to add some shading to the pod leaves, and can you see the  added sparkle from Wink of Stella ?  I've used lots of layers on this card, if you include all of the pod leaves there are 13, with Dimensionals and glue dots galore! Why did I wait til now to purchase Botanical Blooms, it is amazing!     Oh my, Melon Mambo with a hint of Pink Pirouette on Whisper White, I am in love!  These flowers remind my of the Lily's I had on my wedding day, that gave me my inspiration for my sentiment from the Suite Sayings  set.   The Botanical Blooms Bundle  is just fabulous, not only do you get several flower and leaf stamps and thinlets in the bundle you also have this great border/edging thinlet - I have so many things I want to try with this set! Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop, we have the great pleasure to be CASEing our special guest Dawn Griffith.   I have been a long time viewer of Dawn's video tutorials, and I love making treat boxes, so it seemed fitting to CASE  (Copy And Selectively Edit)   this project by Dawn: Hershey Kisses are not a common chocolate here in Australia, instead I have created this super cute Gift Card holder that also houses 6  Ferrero Rocher's:   You can dress this project up to suit any occasion, and as the box is made with cardstock it is quite sturdy you could substitute to hold a different treat, Lindor, Cadbury Roses even candles.  I've used It's My Party DSP  and the Party Wishes  stamp set today.   I cut the Ferrero window with the Decorative Label Punch ,  You might be thinking that the sentiment looks a little different to the stamp in the set, I have used masking to spread over 3 lines rather than 2...

I've been experimenting with a shabby chic style today, using Hardwood background stamp trying to get a weathered effect, I'm quite happy with the effect some sponging and Gorgeous Grunge has had on this project today   The idea to try a weathered, shabby chic effect came about when I was contemplating how I could use the lovely colours in Pals Paper Arts challenge this week - inspiration comes from the oddest of memories,.... I had a flash back of a weather wooden seat.
