Delicate Details | #WWYS106

Welcome to this week's What Will You Stamp?  This week we are creating with Delicate Details - one of the Sale-A-Bration FREEBIE stamp sets! This set is very versatile, it can be used to create backgrounds or to add Detail to your project.  Delicate Details is a photopolymer set, so it is very easy to see where you are stamping, and you can also bend the stamp to create curved edges - I have seen some amazing projects on doing this, and will be utilising the set to do so in the future. T oday I have dressed up DSP by using Copper Stampin Emboss Powder with one of the beautiful lace designs: I cut into my sheet of DSP, making a point of having more hearts at the bottom than the top, and then stamped my "lace" using the Delicate Details stamp and applied the Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder - the detail of the stamp is just incredible! I wrapped some Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon around the DSP taking care to leave the top of the lace showing and mounted o...

Falling Flowers | Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Janneke de Jong

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Janneke de Jong from the Netherlands. Janneke's blog Happy Stampin' is full of amazing projects, I decided to CASE the card below -  I was drawn in by the colours (haha, pink, funny that!) and also the combination of the positive and negative die cuts. I don't have the Special Reason Bundle that Janneke used for her card, so I have improvised and used Falling Flowers Bundle , here is what I have come up with: I used clear embossing powder to stamp the flowers then water coloured using Watermelon Wonder and Delightful Dijon from the 2014-2016 In Colour suite as well as the sentiments from Dragonfly Dreams are stamped in Tip Top Taupe.  Unlike Stylish Stems the May Flower framelits don't come in 2 pieces, so the detailed die cuts "fully cut" the image. I adhered the die cut to the coloured cardstock and then raised the Whisper White layer with dimensionals. Lastly I add...

INKspiration for Watercolour Wings with FMS277

I've stepped out of my comfort zone today, I'm using yellow! Any shade of yellow is not a "go to" colour for me, so when I saw this fortnight's INKspiration challenge, well..... I was challenged, lol        I love the images provided for the INKspiration challenge, but try and try I struggled to come up with a design, so I started looking at other challenges, then when choosing a stamp set for Freshly Made Sketches I saw it, Watercolour Wings and it dawned on me.... purple and yellow butterflies :-) Watercolour Wings is such a beautiful stamp set, being photopolymer it is easy to stamp the layered patterns for the butterfly. I stamped 3 butterflies, 2 on Whisper White and 1 on Vellum, to keep the colours subtle I stamped off once before stamping on the cardsotck and vellum, the exception being the body of the butterfly. I used the FMS277 layout, for my first card I added a layer of Delightful Dijon and some Crushed Curry Bakers Twine ...

Monocromatic Mint Macaron | #GDP076

I'm playing along at the Global Design Project today, this week the challenge is 'CASE the Designer', no other than the amazing Kylie Bertucci. I took my inspiration from Kylie's layout, then when looking over my desk deciding which stamp set o choose I spotted my pack of Succulent Garden DSP......now if you are familiar with Kylie you will know all about #loveitchopit. I selected the Mint Macaron design from the DSP - I will so miss this colour.  I couldn't decide between the Whisper White background or Mint Macaron, so decided on making both!  For a little added effect I stamped some "lace" using the Sale-A-Bration Deleicate Details set - this set is yours to choose as your FREEBIE when you spend $90 AUD during Sale-A-Bration, how cool is that! Here is a close up: My sentiment is from Blooms & Wishes , and cut with an oval using the  Stitched framelits  and a touch of  Linen thread   compliments  the stamped lace be...

Birthday Blast for a special grandfather

Today 's card is very special to me, my daughter and I worked together with this creation for her grandfather - I'm so proud of her, she decided on design and colours for this card. The first thing that my daughter wanted to use was the Star Blast framelits , she liked the effect of the shooting stars - a bit like fireworks! She also liked the matching stamp set Birthday Blast for extra stars and swirls as well as the birthday sentiment. Next she decided on the colours - she like the dark blue of Dapper Denim and the bright Bermuda Bay, I suggested Pool Party to go with them and she said "that's epic" I set up the Bigshot sandwich for her and she cranked it through and cut them out.  Remember to keep the stars that are cut too, as you can see she used them to decorate the card.  I helped with the stamping, layering and gluing of the framelits. Once these parts were in place she added the stars, and there you have it - our card for he...

Lift Me Up | #WWYS104

Welcome to What Will You Stamp?  This week we are creating with the Lift Me Up stamp set from the 2017 Occasions Catalogue (Pg 10) I have found this set to be great for masculine cards - something I normally struggle with, but it's been a breeze using the Lift Me Up Bundle - the framelits are just amazing to create the detailed balloon, and the clouds.... wow so many uses for them with other stamp sets (I used the clouds in last's weeks Moon Baby card) I've made quite a few cards with his set now, so I changed things up and made a z-fold card for this weeks showcase, here it is! The balloons and clouds work perfectly with the sloping z-fold, her is another angle of the card And that DSP... it's a Sale-a-Bration freebie that co-ordinates perfectly with the Lift me up set! To see all the great projects from the Design Team click here , we would love you to participate in weeks challenge at What Will You Stamp? why not play along...

Beautiful You | Brighter Days

I've inked up a new stamp set for you to see today, Beautiful You from the Occasions catalogue. If you like the look and feel of watercolour you may just possibly fall in love with this set! I was struggling with what to create today as I was feeling a bit under the weather, so I cruised challenges I have drawn inspiration from these 2 challenges for my card:        Here is what I have created combining the challenges: I heard some unexpected sad news from a close friend yesterday, so when I saw this sentiment it fitted perfectly. I stamped my image on watercolour paper and cut with the Stiched Framelets (back in stock now - YAY), then used Aqua painters to colour - my Soft Suede ink bled a little, but I really like the "aged" effect this gives, so I continued that theme through the rest of the card by sponging the edges of the cardstock. Beautiful You has a number of lovely sketched images and multiple sentiments, I can't wait to create ...
