Thank you for joining us for our "Enjoy the little things in life - Design Team Video Blog Hop. We are going to be giving you Halloween inspiration this month, grab a cuppa and sit back and visit the design team and pick up some some great ideas and tips including how to videos.  When I saw the Cat Punch in the Holiday Catalogue, it went straight on my wish list - little miss 10 was so excited when she unpacked my delivery that not only contained the cat punch, but also the Spooky Cat stamp set  (purchase as a Bundle and save 10% )and matching Spooky Night Designer Series paper ! I've created a "custom sized" Card in a box for my project today - why custom sized you say, I specifically made the dimensions to accommodate: 1. the moon lit background design on the DSP 2. when the card folds flat it fits perfectly in a normal size envelope Once you get the hang of what dimensions are required, it's possible to make your card in a box so many di...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Sarah Fleming

Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Sarah Fleming from Texas. You may be familiar with her blog Prepare to Dye Papercrafts . After viewing so many wonderful creations by Sarah I finally  decided on the below project as I wanted to try another variation of water colour backgrounds, and also because the emboss resist technique is one of my favourites: I decided to break out the flowers and foliage from the Feather Friends Hostess set, choosing 3 of the designs to create my white embossed background, then the fun began, applying the ink with an aqua painter. I started with Pink Pirouette and Berry Burst, then Flirty Flamingo to brighten, and lastly a touch of Rich Razzleberry - the colours blended beautifully on the water colour paper. The sentiment is also from the Feathery Friends set and is cut using the Stitched Shapes framelits popped up with Dimensionals, with a couple of strips of ribbon with some sequin trim for b...

Hearts Come Home to Northern Lights with Ink it! Stamp it!

Welcome to the Ink it! Stamp it! Blog Hop. This month we will be sharing projects inspired by the  the amazing 2017 Holiday Catalogue, it is jam packed with fabulous stamp sets, DSP and so, so much more.. The full line up below will guide through all the projects and we'd love to hear from you on what your favourite item from the Catalogue. The moment I saw the Hearts Come Home bundle , I had the idea for a Northern Lights themed card. The Hometown Greeting edgelits are so cute, and have great detail too, the stamp set has lovely Christmas sentiments as well as little houses, trees and of course Santa's sleigh. I've used Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, and Night of Navy for my Northern Lights, finishing the sponge on the edge with a touch of Basic Black. I cut and layered 2 sets of the die cuts, keeping the little bits in the Basic black one, and slightly off setting with the Tranquil Tide - everyone is asleep waiting for Santa to do his deliveries hoho...

Flourishing Phrases for Stampin Friends

Welcome to the September Stampin Friends Blog Hop, this month is celebrating Fall. Whilst it's not Autumn in Australia, the weather is still very changeable in Adelaide, so whilst it is officially Spring it feels just like when Autumn comes to stay - I can't wait for it to warm up a bit, the sun to shine for more than a couple of days before it rains again. As you would know I love pink, so Autumn colours can be a challenge with yellows and oranges - not in my "go-to" range, but combined with a little Fresh Fig, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie are just amazing! I love the Flourish Thinlet dies that co-ordinate with Flourishing Phrases, don't you just adore the little belly band on the candle, so simple and easy to do, and it makes a complete package with the card. There are so many sentiments in the Flourishing Phrases set it is hard to choose, it's a great set to have on hand as it covers off so many occasions.  I decided on a simple phras...
