It's a weekend full of celebrations and parties, with my daughter having 2 parties today and it's Father's Day in Australia tomorrow.
What 10yr old doesn't know about Pokemon? My daughter "educates" me all the time, about the evolutions, all the names, basically everything there is to know, so with her upcoming parties she ask for some cards, I said ok what type of card? - what I should have said have a look at the stamp sets and lets design something together.... because she ask for a Sun and Moon Card for her friend! She kindly suggested to create the card similar to the promotional card we received when we purchased a plushy for a present, here is what I came up with:
The easy part was the sentiment, the Happy Birthday thinlet is just amazing, so quick and easy to use, and then you layer 2 colours on top of each other you create a shadow effect, now for the rest of the card!
I used the masking technique to divide the card and create the sun and moon half circle, then lots of sponging to create the shading from light to dark for both the sun and moon sides. I the applied the same technique I used to create the Star of light card to achieve the rays of light, here is my video tutorial for the technique
Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email from me when I do Click Here. You can also subscribe for my newsletter for Stampin' Up news, updates and Sales.
