Free as a Bird - Share it Sunday blog hop

Welcome to Share it Sunday, a blog hop where everything goes, any colour, any theme, sentiment as long as it is a current item from Stampin' Up!  I really enjoyed making this card, I haven't used the gorgeous Free as a Bird stamp set in such a long time, it was great to get inky inspiration with it again and do some relaxing colouring. I chose a slimline design to give lots of "white space" which really makes the focal image pop, and couldn't resist putting a cute scalloped edge down the side of the card. I used Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to colour the stamped image: Light Flirty Flamingo, So Saffron, Cherry Cobbler Soft Suede, Light and Dark Soft Seafoam, Crumb Cake. I light sponged Balmy Blue on the background and splattered with Petal Pink, Soft Seafoam, Balmy Blue and Black Stampin' Write markers, before adhering to the Petal Pink scalloped edge. After attaching the image with Mini Dimensionals I stamped the sentiment, then to finish I wound Lin

All for Baby | Life's Special Occasions with Stamping Friends

Hello and welcome to the Stampin Friends Blog Hop, today our theme is " Life's Special Occasions". We will be sharing projects that celebrate the start of a new year of upcoming special occasions such as an anniversary, birthday, wedding, baby as examples. I decided to use a bundle from the Annual Catalogue that I haven't used yet - I was missing a baby stamp set in my collection, had lots of ideas for All For Baby , but got side tracked with other projects - but not today! I wanted a background for my item of baby clothing, and choose a design from the Abstract Beauty Specialty Designer Series Paper , there were 2 reasons I was excited to purchase this DSP - it is already cut to 4" x 6" (10.2 x 15.2 cm) and that one side of the paper has an element gold shimmer. I stamped the clothing image in Balmy Blue to coordinate with the DSP, then used Light Balmy Blue alcohol marker and a Colour Lifter to emphasise the overlapping panel on the jumpsuit. I stamped

Forever Fern Place Cards

Recently I had a special request from a friend asking if I could make name place cards - of course the answer was yes. After the theme/stamp set was chosen I got to making a sample, and then set up the Stamparatus with the Forever Fern stamps for mass production. Here is what the finished design looked like: I designed the place card so 4 would fit on one piece of cardstock so minimal cutting would be required. I printed the name of the card using a font on my computer, then cut the cardstock into quarters and stamped using 3 different positions/colours (very handy having the second plate with the  Stamparatus ), a mix of leaves in Garden Green, Shaded Spruce & Pear Pizzazz. I manually stamped the little dots, then scored and folded to complete the name place card. I tied them all together with mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used belo

Rainbow of Happiness in a note card

Hello crafty friends, I've inked up a new stamp set this afternoon - Rainbow of Happiness . I had been waiting to order this set, along with the Sale-a-bration Sunshine & Rainbows DSP , as soon as all the items were in stock I put my order in, and it came just in time for our Public Holiday, which meant crafty time! I played around with a number of colour combinations before decided on Polished Pink, Pale Papaya, Mint Macaron, Fresh Freesia , and Poppy Parade for the tiny hearts. As the stamp set is photopolymer it's quite easy to line up the rainbow, and how cute are those little clouds cut with the coordinating Brilliant Rainbow dies . To finish I added the bow with Black & White twine, it really pulled the sentiment and the card all together. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspiration and tips this month.  I’ve listed the products I used below, just click on the picture and be taken directly to the product.  I
