Sending Sunshine to Brighten Your Day

Hello crafty friends, today is Share it Sunday, and what I love most about this blog hop is "anything goes". Its been a while since I made a slimline card, and I've recently received my order with the Rays of Light background stamp..... that was my starting point for today's card.

I used the Stamparatus to apply Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Fresh Freesia to the background stamp - I used a dauber, applying one colour at a time, and restamping if I wanted a deeper colour. As I stamped, my thoughts were "why was this stamp not on my first wish list?", I am totally in love with it!

Because I had chosen a slimline style card, the stamp didn't cover the entire length of the card, so I decided to add a layer of clouds to the top and bottom of the card using a Basic Border die. I stamped the sentiment from the Sending Smiles stamp set and clear embossed "sunshine to brighten your day" before die cutting the cloud edge and mounting with Dimensionals. Lastly adding some Champagne Rhinestones to finish with a touch of bling.
