Radiating Bubble Bath for you

Surprise! I received my pre-order and the first thing I just had to do was try out Bubble Bath , the NEW PINK, and it may even become my new favourite pink, we will see....... I really wanted the card to showcase Bubble Bath, so bubble bath = bubbles = circles, so after cutting the Spots & Dots background I grabbed the OnLine Exclusive Radiating Stiches Dies and and cut more circles - adding a touch of Bubble Bath ink with a Blending Brush to give a subtle change in intensity here and there. The sentiment is cut from the Love For You dies, don't you just love the layering around the letters? there is one more layer in the set, but I left my design with jus the one for today. I'd love to hear what you think of the new Pink, I think it will fit in perfectly with my "go to" colour palette. If you like the circle dies head over to my store  HERE , and check them out in the OnLine Exclusive section, they are available until sold out. While you are there check out all

Playing in the Rain - more options with masking technique

Inspiration can come from the oddest of things or places - I woke up to the sound of rain on the roof this morning and decided it was time to get inky with Playing in the Rain My colour choice is from this weeks Global Design Challenge - Tahitian Tide scares me a little as it is so bright, but it turns out to be fantastic and give a nice lift of colour on my card I think! I used the cloud die from  Basic Borders  for the upper portion of the card, blending Tahitian Tide to give the layers a viewable lift and stand out.  Stampin Blends  and a Colour Lifter created the lights and darks for the focal image using the colours from the challenge. As you can see from the stamp set images, I did a mismash of the images, starting with the rabbit, then masking and overlaying the fox to stamp the umbrella - masking is one of my favourite techniques, whilst it can be a little tricky with some designs the results are well worth it, giving you so much more flexibility with creativity within a stamp

Sending Butterfly Love & Hugs

Hello there crafty friends! The sun was out this morning and it made by feel cheery, and looking out into the garden there were birds and butterflies, so after my morning coffee I reached for my Butterfly Brilliance set and got inky. I'm not normally a pink and gold fan, but I will be the first to admit this combination on S himmery White card stock is a winner! I stamped the butterflies in Sahara Sand then clear heat embossed so I could watercolour with  Polished Pink, the head embossed finish was a gold tone, so I got thinking about adding some gold in the from of trim and a heat embossed sentiment.  I splattered the background to add a little interest and look of texture. Now for the best part - the Butterfly Brilliance stamp and Brilliant Wings Dies are on the retiring list, and are heavily discounted, why not grab yours today before they sell out? You can check out all the retiring items in my online store  HERE , remember items are available only while stocks last - some

Hello with Irresistible Blooms

I'd grabbed my Irresistible Blooms suite , and was looking at the gorgeous DSP and began to think of a layout, and thought....... I wonder if there is a challenge I can partake in? A  sketch is a great way to get creative, and that is just what I did with this weeks JAI challenge . The DSP was a left over from another card (you can see it here ), and the sketch helped me with where to add the sentiment, and layers, well I just love layers! I used the "speckled" stamp to add interest to the card base, then added the matted layer of DSP. After white heat embossing the sentiment I added similar layer to pull my design together. I added a touch of bling with Champagne Rhinestones (soon to be retiring) to finish. I'm yet to use the green tones of the DSP in this suite, but I think I will venture there on my next Irresistible Blooms creation, so stay tuned. Don't forget, the Irresistible Blooms Suite is an On-line Exclusive , so head over to my online store and grab yo

That Paper - Hues of Happiness

I am really enjoying the poor weather this weekend, it's so nice to be inside and be creative! My card today is inspired by this weeks Global Design Challenge and by a Rochelle Blok  creation (you can see her card here ) I decided to use both a floral design and the main colours in the CASE the designer challenge When I saw the colours I thought of "that paper" and went to my stash, sadly the Hues of Happiness DSP is retiring, but oh what a DSP this has been - matching dies to cut the flowers, and such gorgeous gorgeous colours! To fill out the length of the slimline card I cut floral outline dies from Artistic Dies . I filled the middle of the card using the Hues of Happiness DSP and coordinating Blossoming Happiness dies. Grab a pack of the Hues of Happiness DSP before it is gone, you can see all the retiring items at my online store - remember while stocks last, so shop now! Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more inspi
