Butterfly Basics | Warm Pink

I am very excited to show of what I have created with new bundle that arrived yesterday - Butterfly Basics, I am loving it!

I have taken inspiration from 2 challenges for today's card:

I did my weekly visit to my favourite Challenge's; Global Design Projects "Case the Designer" is an awesome challenge as you can take inspiration from any element on the card - theme, layout, colours or stampset.  I just loved the layout and layers in Kylie Bertucci's card, and I couldn't go past Blushing Bride at StampInkPaper - so I combined both challenges for my card.

I tend to like cool pinks, so the use of Early Espresso and Gold with Blushing Bride took me away from my natural colour combos - I love where SIP took me with this challenge.

Technique & Colours:
I stamped off Early Espresso so that it wasn't overpowering the delicate Blushing Bride, and brightened the card by using Very Vanilla as a base for the lovely layers and focal sentiment from Kylie's card - I just love the layers and combination of rectangles and sentiment circle.

I double stamped the flower using a stamp-a-ma-jig as I wasn't happy with it in just Blushing Bride, I really happy with the double stamping effect.

I just couldn't resist adding the butterfly - I double cut and layered to give a little more impact with the Gold embossed sentiment, the Gold Cord Trim reminded of little swirls as the butterfly go to "send wishes your way"

I hope you have liked my card today, I love reading your comments, til next time

Thank you for everything Hues of Happiness

Hello crafty friends, I'm using one of my favourite layouts today with the simply gorgeous Hues of Happiness DSP . I decided to make the card using Pool Party cardstock to complement the blue flowers in a bed of purples, I think it turned out lovely. I added detail to the card front by using the Scalloped edge from the Scalloped Contours Dies , and heat embossed a sentiment in silver from the Color & Contour stamp set .  To finish I added a touch of bling with Rhinestone  Basic Jewels . Endless Birthday Wishes | WWYS#65

It's Monday, so that means there is a fresh What Will You Stamp? challenge.  This week we are showcasing Endless Birthday Wishes.   I adore the font in this set, and the cake is just too cute!  I've used Washi Tape from the It's my Party range on the edge of my raised layers, and stamped the sentiment on the base of the card. I used aqua painters to colour the cake and cut used the new layering square framelits (available in the 2016-2017 Catalogue), how delicate is the scalloped edge? Just gorgeous! Whilst I went with a traditional sentiment for my card; this set has truly endless possibilities in terms of creating you own special message - how amazing is that!  Click below to see all the inspiring creations from the Design Team, we would love you to join in the fun too!  How many different sentiments can you come up with? Thanks for stopping by today, I would love to update you when I create a post! If you would like to receive an email...

Fancy Folds Stampers Showcase - Hues of Happiness Circle Easel Card

Hello there crafters! You are going to love today's Stamper Showcase Blog Hop - we are all featuring FUN FOLDS, I just love a fun fold, I should really do more of them! I decided to a Circle Easel Card, it's a smaller card, but I think you will agree is just super cute, and with the Hues of Happiness DSP is just Gorgeous! This card is a relatively simple for a fun fold and comes together very quickly - I think I spent more time doing the floral arrangement than the actual fun fold itself. I took advantage of being able to die cut images directly from the Hues of Happiness DSP - I love it when we can do this with DSP, and aren't the flowers just stunning! I took 3 different flowers and some foliage and arranged to fit within the Basic White Circle cut from the largest circle die in Layering Circles Dies set, and the largest scallop die is used for the coloured section of the card. To create the card base you need to fold a piece of card stock and positon the largest die slig...

Color Fusers Blog Hop November 2024

Welcome to this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, we are featuring the some old favorites of mine - Berry Burst, Azure Afternoon and Fresh Freesia. My creation was inspired by the fact that we had our Christmas Pageant this weekend, and that I love making Christmas cards in non traditional colours. I started by blending our featured colours in the bottom right of the card front, then I "flicked" with some water and let dry before heat embossing the sentiment from the Decorative Trees bundle. This bundle has a variety of tree dies, I chose the one with snowflakes and adhered over the blended colours, to finish I added some rhinestones for that special sparkle that Christmas brings. Color Fusers Blog Hop May 2024

It's time for this month's Color Fusers Monthly Blog Hop! This month, our colors include Pebbled Path, Bubble Bath and Moody Mauve - perfect colours for a Mother's Day Card! I've used the new Attention Shoppers Bundle for my design - a super fun set with a mix of font and cute pictures that can be mixed and matched to be used for so many occasions. I added some InColor DSP and cut the feature circle using the online exclusive  Everyday Details Dies  - they are just amazing, I missed them being released due to being so busy at work - so take it from me, make sure you keep an eye on the Online Exclusives released each March, July and November. I decided on a "wash of colour" using Stampin' Blends then die cut with the coordinating dies. After stamping the sentiment I adhered the 3 die cut images and finished by adding a touch of bling with Silver ribbon and Basic Rhinestones.
