I don't often get the time to play at "The Paper Players" due to the working week, but it's school holidays, so I've managed to fit another challenge in this week. There are lots of layers in PP264 from The Paper Players this week, and I love layers!
Below is the sketch by Claire that has inspired my card:
I was a little bit challenged with this, I was sure the I had some edgelits somewhere, but I couldn't find them, so I improvised by creating an edging with Soft Sky seam binding ribbon and edged with Silver Cording Trim and a thin layer of card stock - I'm quite happy with the result!
I just love the Snow Place Photopolymer Bundle (you probably already know this by now if you have visited me recently), not just the cute characters you can build, but right down to the Snowflake stamp which I have used in the background.
I layered the Whisper White and Soft Sky, then prepared the final layer for the snowman, this has been run through the Big Shot with the Softly Falling TIEF, I wrapped the cording around the middle of the card and it all started to come together - I am so glad I have glue dots, they were so handy for putting this together!
I have added touch of Dazzling Diamonds for sparkle too. Wish I had the opportunity to photograph this in natural light, but as it is already night here and the challenge has less than 7 hrs remaining I had to go with the flash; apologies, my colours are looking a bit "warm" from the lighting in my dining room
Hope you have enjoyed my card,
