Party Wishes at GDP024

Today we had family to over to our house to celebrate a birthday, so in keeping with that theme I have created this card for GDP024 I love the bright colours of the It's my Party DSP, and I have co-ordinated with Washi Tape and Bakers Twine, you just have to love how Stampin' Up! items perfectly match! The cake  and candles are separate stamps from Party Wishes, so is the sentiment, and for a bit extra punch I heat embossed the sentiment and top of the candles with Iridescent powder. I have CASE'd the layout from Michelle Last for this weeks Global Design Challenge: I hope you have enjoyed today's post.  I would love to update you when I create a post! Happy Hello from Flowering Fields

I would like to say thank you to everyone for all of the lovely comments and feed back you gave me for my Flowering Fields Blog hop Thank You Cards, it has made me so happy! Many of you ask questions about the colours, card size and how I did my bows, so today I have made another version of the card and will provide you with all the details: Now for the details for the card: Stamping Flowers are from the absolutely lovely Sale-A-Bration Flowering Fields  stamp set, if you have fallen in love with it and just have to have it don't hesitate to order because it is only available for a limited time.  I have used Basic Black Archival ink for stamping. I added the adorable butterfly today, just love it! I used Stamp-a-ma-jig  to position the flowers so that I could achieve this layout - it takes out all the guess work! Sentiment In today's card I have used a sentiment from the Tin of Cards  set, on Sunday's card I used One Big Meaning .  I punched a...

Crazy Crafters Blog Hop | Special Guest Patty Bennett

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop for Febraury 2016, we have the great pleasure to have Patty Bennett as special guest.   This month our theme is "Inspired by Patty", our task - to CASE (Copy And Selectively Edit) one of Patty's projects.  I absolutely adore the Flowering Fields stamp set, so the project below  was my call to CASE: I love how Patty has combined stamping and Designer Series paper, separating the elements with the ribbon or washi tape. Here is my Patty inspired project:   M y projec t features 2 of the amazing Sale-a-Bration products, Flowering Fields  Stamp set and Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper. I used Basic Black Archival to stamp the images and Aqua Painters to colour - I had a burst of inspiration and created a 2nd card!   Can you see the Wink of Stella on the water colouring? It has an amazing shimmer in real life, but is a tad difficult to photograph!  The sentiments are from th...

Rainbow Celebration | GDP023

It's a balloon theme over at Global Design this week, so I've put the Balloon Celebration Bundle to good use! I choose a rainbow theme for this project, I love the end result - so bright and happy.  I added a little sparkle to the balloons with Iridescent Ice glitter - it's difficult to photograph though!  The sentiment is from Perfect Pairings, one of the free sets available during Sale-A-Bration.  I thought about a rainbow sentiment, but opted to keep it basic black so as not to take the focus from the gorgeous balloons. Be sure to pop over to the Global Design Project  to see the amazing Balloon themed project by the designers and fellow crafters Here are the products used for my project, click on the links below to shop at my online store 24/7 Perfect Pairings (Wood Mount)   Balloon Celebration Photopolymer Bundle   Perfect Pairings (Clear Mount)   Rich Razzleberry  Classic Stampin' Pad Pacific Point ...

Let's Party! Playful Pals

Who wouldn't want to party if this little guy invited you? I've had this guy cut out and arranged for a while now, just didn't know when I would use him.  The Playful Pals set is full of endless possibilities - I've used 2 stamps to create his cute little feet, then cut out with the framelits.  The sentiment is stamped from the Party with Cake set. The layout of this card is based on this weeks Freshly Made Sketches challenge: Below are the products used to create my project: Remember if you use the current Hostess code displayed at the top of my blog at the check out and you will be eligible for a Thank You gift for for shopping with me  - Learn more  here  - be sure to click YES that you allow me as your demonstrator to contact you in your account settings otherwise I won't be able to forward your Thank You gift.  I would love to update you when I create a post! Thank you with What I Love

I just adore this Sale-A-Bration stamp set, it reminds me a lot of the retired Stippled Blossoms set I am using the sketch from this weeks Global Design Challenge for the lay out theme for my card, be sure to pop over to have a look at the amazing creations from the design team and fellow crafters. I stamped my first layer in Calypso Coral and Watermelon Wonder on Very Vanilla, then on separate card used Calypso Coral (stamped off once on scrap) & Blushing Bride for the "watercolour image" and Watermelon Wonder for the detail. The leaves are Mint Macaron, with a little hand water colouring with Aqua Painters for some added depth - love the finished colour combo!  Then I have fussy cut and layered the flowers and leaves, added clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer, then some lovely Mint Macaron lace ribbon, stamped the sentiment (also from the set), popped up  the layer with Dimensionals and I was done.  Below are the products used: ...

Hello - it's almost time to say Goodbye

I made a super quick card tonight using the Sale-A-Bration "Hello" stamp set I love this set, but I'm sad to say it is set to retire soon, it is only available until February 15th, so don't hesitate or you may miss out.   I brighted up my day with some Melon Mambo and added a touch of Wink of Stella clear glitter to the 3 vertical lines, and the top of the party hat, and sponged around the edge of the oval. The layout of the card is my interpretation of this weeks Cas(E) this Sketch! I hope you have enjoyed viewing my card today; below are the products used: Remember if you use the current Hostess code displayed at the top of my blog at the check out and you will be eligible for a Thank You gift for for shopping with me  - Learn more  here  - be sure to click YES that you allow me as your demonstrator to contact you in your account settings otherwise I won't be able to forward your Thank You gift.  I w...

In Bloom with Flowering Fields

Last week I used the lovely Flowering Fields from Sale-A-Bration, and instantly fell in love with this set. I find colouring with Aqua Painters quite therapeutic.  Today I have combined it with stamps and thinlets from a Number of Years   I gained inspiration from the 3 challenges below! Here is a close up of the water colouring, I love how you can add depth of colour by layer more ink as you go, can you see the subtle contrast in Blushing Bride on the main flower?   I used a masking technique so that I didn't over stamp on the flowers, by using the Stamp-a-ma-jig I was able to work out the layout for the design.  The sentiment is from Cottage Greetings. I hope you have enjoyed viewing my card today; the Flowering Fields stamp set is available for a limited time, so don't miss out; below are the products used: Use the current Hostess code displayed at the top of my blog at the check out and you will be eligible for...
