I just adore this Sale-A-Bration stamp set, it reminds me a lot of the retired Stippled Blossoms set
I am using the sketch from this weeks Global Design Challenge for the lay out theme for my card, be sure to pop over to have a look at the amazing creations from the design team and fellow crafters.
I stamped my first layer in Calypso Coral and Watermelon Wonder on Very Vanilla, then on separate card used Calypso Coral (stamped off once on scrap) & Blushing Bride for the "watercolour image" and Watermelon Wonder for the detail.
The leaves are Mint Macaron, with a little hand water colouring with Aqua Painters for some added depth - love the finished colour combo! Then I have fussy cut and layered the flowers and leaves, added clear Wink of Stella for some shimmer, then some lovely Mint Macaron lace ribbon, stamped the sentiment (also from the set), popped up the layer with Dimensionals and I was done. Gorgeous! I love how you've overlapped these flowers over the edge of the main panel. Great element! Thank you so much for playing along with this week's Global Design Project Sketch Challenge!
ReplyDeleteVery cute Sue. Love the way the lace softens the whole card.
ReplyDeleteI adore the whole look of the card. It has so many elements I like but the best part is how you have made the layer much smaller than the card and allowed the flowers to falloff the layer onto the card with heaps of room too. Given me a few ideas, thank you Sue.
ReplyDeleteLovely design and also congratulations on your photography skills - it's not easy to capture the shimmer of the Wink of Stella!
ReplyDeleteI love this card. Absolutely stunning!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Sue
ReplyDeleteI am playing catch up looking at the Global Design Project entries from last week! Great card today!
ReplyDeleteLove this card Sue! Gorgeous colour palate & beautifully put together xx
ReplyDeleteIndeed this is amazing and must say that this will work for me. I am throwing my next party at one of venues in NYC and was looking for something similar. It will be all-friends party and quite sure they will love this card as a return gift.
